24.01.2022 We can't wait to give these babies away to our winning filmmakers at the Westside Film Festival Gala Awards Night on Friday 13 July! Film submissions close on Monday at 10am.

24.01.2022 The inaugural Westside Film Festival concluded on Friday 13 July with a gala awards evening held in the iconic Woodville Town Hall. The festival invited budding and experienced film makers of all ages and skill levels to create a 90 second film showcasing faces and places of Charles Sturt. Best Film - Michael Wilkop for "Charles in Time" Best Film 12-18 years - Myles McEwen and Bailey Lock for "Seagull" Best Cinematography - Robert Redfern for "Little Green Grocer"... Best Direction - Brodie Winning for "The Bench" Best Community Group Film - Michelle Steel for "Let's Go" Best On Screen Talent - Harry Errington as Captain Charles Sturt in "Charles in Time" To watch the winners, check out the Videos section on our page. 11.01.2022 One of the biggest problems filmmakers have is finding royality free music for their films at no cost. We have the answer! Check out YouTube Audio library lots of great music and genres to pick from.... If you use music clips from attributes section make sure to credit the artist/writer in your film. If you click from non- attributes. No need to credit.

This gives you an extra weekend to work on your edit, or catch the shots you didn't quite manage to grab. If you've already submitted a film but want to make use of the extra time, you're welcome to resubmit your entry by the revised deadline. If you're happy with it as is, sit back and relax - we can't wait to watch your film!
