24.01.2022 I absolutely hate going to the dentist, I've had many bad visits in my past. But Westlake Dental is a fantastic Dental Surgery!, because of the relaxed environ...ment and welcoming touch, warm tea and chat to relax me! I have had 3 visits-in 3 weeks and every time very happy with the care - and results, with Very little pain! Fully recommend Gilbert and his beautiful wife Shaleen. Thank you for helping me gain the courage to sit in a dental chair again. Gilbert has given me a reason to smile again with straightening my bottom teeth by doing 3 little fillings. You rock!! Treatment:... tailored digital smile design cosmetic gum lift take home whitening for lower teeth composite bonding veneers for upper teeth Patient Journey: This lovely lady disliked her gummy smile and short front teeth. She wanted a striking beautiful smile. She wanted to see less gum and have a fuller wider and brighter smile. She also wanted a natural healthy approach to her smile design and treatment. We worked through photos, X-rays, digital design and mock-ups to customise the smile she was after. We discussed all the available options and she decided on the treatment that best suited her. The process involved whitening the lower teeth with a take home kit and a gum lift to remove excess gum to bring the shape of the teeth to a more natural look. The upper teeth were then conservatively veneered with composite bonding to the design she loved. We mimicked the texture and contours of her natural teeth, while whitening and maintaining a natural translucency. This gave a more vibrant natural result. She was delighted and found the result life changing! 15.01.2022 One of the many emergency cases that Dr Gilbert has treated at Westlake Dental - a snapped tooth while eating. Tooth got fixed - Mimicking a natural tooth, Dr Gilbert’s artistic flair in action! ... Patient had a thorough examination of all the teeth. Photos, X-rays, explanations, discussions, options were all checked - and now we have embarked on a dental journey to care for all the teeth. Can't wait to see the end result!

Tailored smile design with personalized eye teeth Composite bonding veneers for upper and lower teeth Fibre and resin bridges for gaps Establishing a new functional bite position PATIENT JOURNEY: This young attractive lady born with congenitally missing teeth and uneven bite, did not like her smile and found it difficult to chew properly. Her wish list: A beautiful confident smile No more gaps No more small teeth Whiter teeth Slightly longer eye teeth A stable bite to eat more easily Not to damage the teeth she had Work within her budget We worked through photos, X-rays, digital design and mock-ups. We discussed all the available options and she decided on the treatment that best suited her wish list. Our patient chose not to have dental implants to close the gaps. Instead we used a special fibre ribbon to build a framework to close the gaps. From our customized smile design, we then built the top and bottom teeth by conservatively veneering with composite bonding. 12.01.2022 Helping teeth last the conservative way Stage One, Health: This tooth needed urgent treatment. It had a big broken filling, decay and a newly developing crack. The original filling was just too big for the job so it didn’t last well. The most common treatment is to crown (cap) the tooth by reducing it to a stump and covering it all in a porcelain shell. ... A far better option available now is to overlay the tooth with a natural looking strong porcelain cover. By not cutting the tooth to a stump the tooth is stronger, longer lasting and much less likely to need a root canal in the future. Frankly nothing beats natural teeth for beauty, strength and maintenance. This porcelain design enabled us to preserve as much of the tooth as possible. The porcelain cover was contoured and lightly tinted for a natural look. Stage Two, Cosmetic: The porcelain design was crafted a few shades whiter because the patient’s next step was to whiten all her teeth. Her front teeth have been cosmetically contoured for a fresher appearance. She is now in the midst of her whitening treatment. Now her hubby’s turn...

Our patients loved our mini art gallery the colours and thought put behind the kids’ work were just amazing! Now we have got a different array of colours in our mini art gallery, paintings by Artist Magenta Quinn The cool part about her work she also uses her paintings to make jewellery. We met her through her ‘free’ art. She leaves her beautiful art pieces around parks... (free art). We were lucky enough to chance upon one at Mount Ommaney. Her generosity (especially taking some time to create free artwork) and creativity just blew us away. Enjoy the photos!
