18.01.2022 OUR FLAGSHIP VESSEL I touched on this some time ago in a LIVE post, but for those that don't know. I have engaged @paulyjacobsen @ SIC Plate Boats to build our new vessel, a 6.2m centre console built in 2C survey... So the build has began! It has taken some time as I insisted on Paulys personal design, one that hadn't been architectural drawn, signed and approved. We also had to deal with new survey flotation requirements, bloody government!! ... SIC stands for STYLE, INNOVATION & CUSTOMISATION hallmarks of Paulys vessels, I often refer to him as a magician.. 15.01.2022 COMING TOGETHER Its been a busy and fast paced couple of weeks for Pauly SIC Plate Boats ... Sooooooo this is what has happened!! ... Custom alloy trailer - DONE, Rear and front lean bars - DONE, Mount and customised rear platform for Minn Kota Australia & New Zealand Talon - DONE Suzuki Marine Australia DF200SS outboard mounted to ensure adequate clearence to remove cowling and polling platform - DONE & Full acid was and exterior clear coat - DONE. This bloke is second to none! Step by step, I have known exactly what part of the build process has been done, what is currently getting done and what will be done in the coming week... Everything you could ever want as a customer 1300kms away!! Tomorrow fit out begins courtously of the legends at Barney's Marine!! Got some cool stuff going into the rig and obviously decked to the hilt with Garmin Marine electronics!! WTS..

08.01.2022 PEACOCK BARRA It's been doing the rounds, many have said fake and at first glance I'll admit. I did too!! However, I think the follow up photos make it 100 legit and fuckin amazing.. ... It is not uncommon for farm bred fingerling to have defects. In 2011 as a result of TC Yasi 100,000's of farm barra where released into the Hinchinbrook Channel. Resulting captures after that saw many of these barra having jaw, fin & tail defects, blue eyes not red and last but not least colouration or discolouration. A few albino barra were caught in the channel in the years following and I believe this fish which @tysonpalmer_ landed in a stocked impoundment, has much the same. 01.01.2022 KINDY IS OUT I tell you something, the system is looking bright for the next 5-6years.. Great day on the water with good mate, Leigh aka Frothieman CHEW chasing jacks up the channel!! ... We must have stirred up the local kindy, the class of fish out of the 5-6 we caught were all under legal, these two being the closest to 35cm mark.
