24.01.2022 This afternoon the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter was tasked to South Stradbroke Island following a jetski incident. Lifesaver 45 transported a patient with a leg injury to Doug Jennings Park, where the patient was handed over to Queensland Ambulance Service.

24.01.2022 The Westpac Lifesaver 46 was tasked by Australian Maritime Safety Authority - AMSA to assist in a search for an overdue fisherman off the coast of Hervey Bay. Lifesaver 46 conducted a search in the waters off Hervey Bay and Fraser Island. They have now been stood down for the day but will be on standby tomorrow should they be tasked again. 23.01.2022 The Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter was tasked by Queensland Water Police earlier today after flares were let off near Noosa. Lifesaver 45 successfully located two jet skis and three passengers who were stranded after one of the vessels took in too much water. The Lifesaver 45 crew guided the Volunteer Coast Guards to the stranded vessel for further assistance. ... All involved returned safely to mainland.

19.01.2022 The Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service QLD on the Sunshine Coast performed a winch rescue of a kayaker earlier today. During their standard patrol, Lifesaver 46 observed an overturned ski and the paddler caught in a rip further out to sea. LS46 recovered the paddler to Sunshine Beach. The local Lifeguards and Rescue Crew Officer assessed the patient, then the RCO returned beyond the break to be winched back up to the aircraft.

12.01.2022 It was a beautiful winter’s day on the Gold Coast today! The crew of Lifesaver 46 took to the skies to keep a watchful eye on swimmers enjoying the sunshine.

11.01.2022 Today the Westpac Lifesaver 46 is continuing to assist Australian Maritime Safety Authority - AMSA with the search for a missing fisherman off Hervey Bay. It is believed the 37-year-old fisherman departed on Monday for an overnight fishing trip but failed to return. Read more: bit.ly/2AbJ6KK

11.01.2022 Earlier this evening the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter was tasked to The Spit. The Rescue Crew was winched down to the beach to assist the Queensland Ambulance Service after a patient was recovered from the water. 07.01.2022 The crew of Lifesaver 46 were kept busy today also responding to an overturned boat at Palm Beach. Thankfully the two people on board made it safely back to shore with assistance from kayakers.

06.01.2022 Earlier today LS45 was tasked by the Brisbane Water Police to assist in locating two kayakers in the Logan River. One person was located, another still missing. LS45 has since been stood down and has returned to the Caloundra Base.

04.01.2022 Today the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter was tasked to Noosa River to assist after a boat capsized in the bar. The crew of Lifesaver 46 maintained aerial surveillance while guiding a lifeguard on a jet ski to the patient.

03.01.2022 Earlier this morning the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter was tasked by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services. Lifesaver 45 transported QFES staff and equipment to Fraser Island following a vehicle rollover.

02.01.2022 This morning on a routine patrol of the Sunshine Coast, LS46 saw a stranded jet ski with two people on board. The jet ski, had drifted off the shore of Buddina after a rope was caught in the impeller, making it impossible for the people to get back to shore. LS46 immediately called the Buddina lifeguards who were able to quickly assist the stranded jet ski back to safety on the beach.... All involved returned safely to the mainland.
