25.01.2022 On Tuesday 27th of October, year 10 students were treated to a virtual presentation from the defence force as part of their studies in the subject of Futures. Leading Seaman Sam Johnston gave an engaging presentation on all the career opportunities available within the defence force including job roles, their gap year program and university sponsorship. He shared stories of his experiences and provided students with much general information about the army, navy and airforce. The session was interactive with students asking many questions and given the opportunity to win prizes sent to the school such as water bottles, pens, caps and USB's. Our students enjoyed the session and got much information from it. After the session Leading Seaman Sam Johnston stated that this was 'one of the best groups he’s ever presented to'.

04.01.2022 It is with great disappointment to let our community know about a spate of vandalism at WWHS. Last Thursday night and last night, our school has been attacked and violated by some individuals with an obvious grudge towards our community. Filthy comments and personal attacks directed at staff and students. I am saddened by the attitude of individuals within our community. I hope those involved are held accountable for their actions. I urge anyone with information in relation to seeing people at our school, last night or last Thursday night to contact our local police. My apologies for such a negative post at the end of a successful term at WWHS. As always, our community will band together and raise above this issue. Please help us catch these individuals. Thanks
