We're so very fortunate to be able to show off our backyard to some of the many visitors to the region. It's World Wetlands Day today and this year it's about Wetlands and Water. Our local traditional owners, the Butchulla, contributed to developing the Korrawinga (Great Sandy Strait) story. 17.01.2022 After a few days testing equipment and supplies, we're good to go for the 20/21 'Summer of Fun for everyone'! Our kids graciously took a couple of days off school to assist us in this matter. The things these poor cherubs have to do, right!? Kicking off this weekend with our unique and enjoyable half day 'Fraser Island Beach + BBQ cruise'. This trip certainly is fun for everyone. Do as much as you like or as little as you please. 15.01.2022 It's that time of year to be meeting with some familiar and some new International agents. With a difference this year...it's all online, of course! I've set up office in our granny flat. This ensures the kids stay in the house and won't do anything embarrassing in front of a live meeting. Finished Day 1 of appointments, with 3 days left for the North American Marketplace. The UK/Europe Marketplace will be in another couple of weeks.... Showing off the wonderful Whalesong Cruises, but also our stunning region, in general! Who knows when we'll actually see our International visitors though. I've been told the Canadians will be the first ones over here, as soon as Australia opens up. 07.01.2022 This is what happens when you leave your 6 + 3/4 year old daughter in charge of the GoPro on a cruise. A whole lot of this! Ha ha! We were certainly a family run operation on Saturday, with the whole family (including Strahan, not biological family), working/enjoying the cruise.... It was a terrific trip though - our first Fraser Island Beach + BBQ cruise for the '20/21 Summer of Fun for Everyone'. 06.01.2022 It has been a tough year for many. Unchartered territory and uncertain times. This group of guys is no exception.... We're happy to have them on board for a weekend of fishing in beautiful Hervey Bay, as Whalesong acts as their Mothership (where they all sleep on board and take their boats out fishing during the day). Nothing like a bit of 'sea-hab' and relaxation to help people feel good again.

06.01.2022 Three cheers for Christmas parties! This group of early childhood educators are off on a well deserved trip to the island. Some water sports, beach activities, relaxation and fun is just what these guys need. Lots of delicious food including fresh gourmet pies from Pie and Pastry paradise, some local seafood and of course, the obligatory antipasto platters! Yum-o!!!! They’ll even get a beautiful sunset on the way back. Now, THAT’S a great way to celecrate the end of the working year!
