19.01.2022 Whats on.... BATHURST! Our farmers deserve a night off and WE NEED YOUR HELP to make it happen!... Moodies Pharmacy have teamed up with BoxGrove and Zoe Cox from Rural Aid to host the Farmers Feast - a night to treat those who feed us. This meaningful event will take place on Saturday evening, the 30th of May 2020. Lets show our farmers and their families what Bathurst does best - support each other when we most need it and we want to do that by treating them to a great meal, a few cold drinks and amazing entertainment. The drought continues to take its toll on our farming community so lets show our resilient men and women of the land that we are here for them. We are still thinking about them. We care about them. Please check out our page Farmers Feast to see how you or your business can help. Besides sponsoring a ticket or a table, ANY other monetary amount no matter how small will be extremely appreciated and can be done in store at Moodies or via bank deposit (just contact Alex for the details). Another great way you can help is to donate goods or a voucher that can be used as either a lucky door prize on the night, or used as a raffle prize leading up to the event. Please contact Alex at Moodies if you or your business is in a position to help: Phone: (02) 6331 2955 Email: [email protected] Lets come together and put on a fabulous night to treat those who feed us #whatsonlocally #whatsonlocallyaustralia

18.01.2022 Whats on.... Luke & Lewis - Hit the Road (Bathurst) @ Panthers Bathurst Luke Kidgell and Lewis Spears are hitting the road together this summer on their first ever joint stand up tour!... Australian stand up comedians, Radio co hosts and best mates for years, Luke and Lewis are finally gracing the stage together to do what they do best... to tell some banga jokes! Luke and Lewis are two of Australias biggest rising comedians online and on the stage, with over a million fans between them and years of sold out national tours individually, this is not one to miss. Luke Kidgell is the most generic looking man alive. Honestly he is a human commodore But with 3 National Tours under his belt, a National radio show, a Stand up special, heaps of viral videos and the host of two of Australias most popular podcasts, he is the god damn Holden Clubsport of comedy. Lewis Spears is the longest man in comedy, hes also very tall. After performing to packed comedy clubs in New York City and headlining across Australia, Spears is ready to give regional Australia the show they deserve! (A rant on why the city sucks, how airports are packed with morons and why no one likes Americans) The boys are heading up the east coast in a motorhome to put on the best night of stand comedy youve ever seen. Its gonna be loose so dont miss out! #whatsonlocally #whatsonlocallyaustralia

09.01.2022 Whats on. Water Security. Its a topic more relevant now than ever with water supply for growing Regional populations under pressure.... Here is a plan devised by Allan Murphy (Ag-Murf Engineering) in conjunction with ILF Consulting (world leader in pipe line design) to provide drinkable water, available in abundant supply in Lake Argyle (northeast West Australia), and pump it to Western NSW, Northern Victoria and South Australia. All that is required are pipe lines and solar powered pump stations. The concept outlined below, Ord2MD (Ord to Murray Darling) sees water from Lake Argyle piped to be stored and distributed to the drought ravaged areas of the Murray Darling Basin utilising existing storage facilities such as Burrendong and Keepit Dams, along with using existing pipeline infrastructure to distribute water to various regions. Lake Argyle is massive. At standard storage levels Lake Argyle holds the equivalent of 21 Sydney Harbours. At full flood containment level Lake Argyle holds 70 Sydney Harbours. Lake Argyle currently feeds the Ord Irrigation Scheme. Even when fully developed, the Ord Irrigation Scheme will only use approximately 0.5% of Lake Argyles stored water. The remaining 99.5% is available for use elsewhere.
