06.01.2022 The Vinnies CEO Sleepout goes online due to COVID-19. One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference Every night, thousands of Australians exp...erience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way. This year, on 18 June, I'm taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, I'll be sleeping either in the backyard, in my car or on the couch as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness. To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, I need your support. Will you help me to reach my target? Donating 50 dollars can make a huge difference to people who need it most.

05.01.2022 Hi market lovers... The legendary Country Women's Association is coming to the market on Sunday. Members of the Sydney City Branch will be running a stall selli...ng jams, preserves, honey, cookbooks, tea towels and aprons. Proceeds are to help farmers who seem to have been forgotten since Covid-19 arrived. Already battered by drought and fire, farmers are doing it tough and the CWA is working to set this right. https://cwaa.org.au/ Founded in 1922, the CWA is rated as one of the best voluntary organisations in Australia. During the depression years, the CWA distributed food and clothing parcels to those in need. During World War II, the CWA provided meals for the troops in many locations across Australia. For years, CWA cookbooks have been a go-to source for frugal recipes that do a lot with a little. You can get one at the market. The CWA helped The Rotary of Concord and Canada Bay Mens Shed distribute replacements for tools lost in the fires. We can pretty much guarantee that any money you spend at the CWA stall will be put to good use. So come along for chat with the CWA ladies at the Concord Farmers Market on Sunday July 5th 2020. In Cintra Park from 0830. Free parking.
