23.01.2022 From July 13, the Child Care Subsidy system will be back, along with new transitions measures to support both families and services. While this may seem like a return to normal there are a few important changes that may help make it more affordable for your family. 1.The Activity Test requirements have been eased 4 hours is all it takes! ... From July 13 to October the Government is easing the activity test for families whose employment has been impacted as a result of COVID-19. If you and your partner were both working (part-time or full-time) before COVID-19 and youve lost your job/s or had your hours reduced, you may be eligible for up to 100 hours of subsidised care per fortnight. To be eligible, you only need to be doing a minimum of four hours of activity per week. 2. Additional financial support is available Did you know if your family has experienced temporary financial hardship due to an event that happened in the last 6 months (i.e COVID-19) you may be eligible for additional financial hardship support from the Government? Events that might have affected your family include: losing your job, being stood down, reduced hours, serious illness or loss of a family member. Applying for the Governments Additional Child Care Subsidy Temporary Financial Hardship support can take a while so apply as soon as you can. If your application for ACCS is approved, you may be eligible to receive up to 13 more weeks of free or heavily subsidised care. 3. You MUST make sure your details are up to date in MyGov Before 13 July, you MUST ensure that your details are accurate in MyGov, particularly your: Activity hours (work, study etc) Combined family income amount. This information needs to be accurate if you have experienced reduced income as a result of COVID-19 this could mean you may be eligible for a higher rate of subsidy from July 13.

17.01.2022 Dear Families If you received Child Care Subsidy (CCS) for 2018-19, you must confirm your income with Centrelink. This includes CCS paid directly to you and CCS paid on your behalf to a child care provider. Most parents have already confirmed their income, but if you havent, do it now.... If you dont confirm your 2018-19 income by 30 June 2020, your CCS will stop from 13 July 2020. To confirm your income with Centrelink, you and your partner need to either: lodge your tax returns with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) complete an Advise non-lodgement of tax return with Centrelink, if you dont need to lodge a tax return. You complete the Advise non-lodgement of tax return in your Centrelink online account through myGov or your Express Plus Centrelink mobile app. If youve already confirmed your family income for 2018-19, theres nothing else you need to do. 14.01.2022 Child Care Subsidy Payments .. IMPORTANT MESSAGE Activity Test The activity test requirements will be eased from 13 July 2020 to help families impacted by COVID-19. From 13 July 2020 until 4 October 2020, individuals who can no longer engage in the same number of hours of work, training, study or other activity recognised by the CCS activity test immediately prior to the COVID-19 crisis, can advise Centrelink they meet the requirements to access 100 hours of subsidised child ...care per fortnight for up to 12 weeks. This will assist families to return to the level of work, study or training they were doing before the COVID-19 crisis, or to do more than before. From 13 July 2020, families will need to update their activity levels to access the 100 hours. This can be done through their Centrelink online account through myGov or the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app. See more

11.01.2022 If you are thinking of enrolling your child in our wonderful Outside School Hours Care program (or if you know of someone who is interested ) please come and grab one of our Enrolment Welcome Packs from either the School Office during school hours or the Service (Pepperina Place - Library) during operating hours! Contains lots of goodies most importantly our Family Information Handbook and Enrolment forms (we are back to the good old paper version as opposed to online forms as it was getting too confusing for parents).

09.01.2022 The Australian Government has asked that every Family who are eligible to receive the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) payments and Family Tax Benefits (FTB) from Centrelink to please provide their Family income estimate for the 2020-2021 financial year. We ask that you please complete this task, even though you arent currently paying child care fees. This is important because Centrelink will use this estimate to work out how much CCS and FTB you will get next financial year. Further information about updating your Family Income Estimate for the 2020-21 financial year can be found on the Services Australia website linked here: https://bit.ly/2YZbCJF If you have any further questions in regards to the above, please visit the Services Australia website via the following link: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/
