Please be at the Eglinton Oval no later than 8.45 to get your paper work done before classes start at 9am. we have a break at 9.30 for a Cuppa & chat. we start again at 10am classes finish at 10.30. 12.01.2022 Aden Hadley of Rising Sun Racing Australia and his home-built 180SX is proudly supported by Raceworks. Growing up in Bathurst, Aden is a member of the Bathurs...t Light Car Club and attends as many events as he can. Known for driving the absolute wheels off his car, and upsetting fellow competitors with much more serious race cars, Aden's 180sx is a true street car in that it maintains original Nissan seats, seatbelts, a stereo, air-conditioning, sunroof and factory body. In Nov 2017, Aden was the fastest on the mountain with an outright win at the Mountain Straight Hillclimb. Recently at the Esses Descent, also at Bathurst (starting at Skyline and finishing half way down Conrod Straight), Aden finished 2nd outright and 1st in class, only 0.38seconds behind Matt Cole in his wild 20B time attack RX-7, and 0.92seconds in front of Mark Stinson in his very well prepared S15 Race Car. Crossing the finish line at 260km/h, the 180SX was down 5psi on boost (25psi) after Aden recently made some minor changes and didn't have time to get the car back to Just Engine Management for a fine-tune before the event. The local news crew interviewed Aden, and a look at his trophy cabinet is a true testament to his abilities, both turning spanners in his garage and behind the wheel. Aden rebuilt the SR20DET 9years ago, keeping it simple and to a budget. Consisting of aftermarket pistons, rods, bearings, head studs and head gasket; the factory block, crank, head, intake manifold and throttle body are still in place, running OE Nissan camshafts, valves and valve springs. A 1st gen GT3076R turbo sits on a 6boost manifold with a Turbosmart wastegate. Our silicone hoses are used with a PWR Performance Products intercooler, and the engine breathes through a BMC AIR FILTERS filter and 3" exhaust. Ignition comes from Splitfire drop in coils and igniter. Fuelling consists of our INJ-139 Bosch 2200cc injectors, ALY-033BK Fuel Rail Kit and FPR-500BK Pressure Regulator, with our 200 Series hose and fittings used throughout. The factory fuel tank houses a Walbro lift pump, with a Walbro 420LPH pump fitted inside our ALY-083BK Surge Tank, supplying E85 and housed in a CAMS approved enclosure made by Yubute Fabrication. Our ALY-077-40BK filter is used, and the ethanol content and temperature is fed to a Haltech PS1000 ECU using our FSA-022 Flex Fuel Sensor. The ECU controls boost using a Turbosmart solenoid. The driveline consists of an unopened Skyline gearbox mated to an Xtreme Clutch, and a Kaaz 1.5way LSD. Brakes are also from an R33, with pads and rotors supplied by Project Mu Performance Brakes. 350RWKW is put down using 245wide Advan A050 rubber. Aden is currently in the process of making the car a little safer at the racetrack, and preparing for Aus Time Attack where we wish him all the best!
