These wear-reducing attributes allow a considerably narrower nose profile, making the Pro-Top especially well-suited for boring and/or limbing applications. The time-tested Pro-Top nose cartridge is incredibly strong, with titanium alloy steel side- plates, precision Swiss bearings, specially-hardened sprocket and unique self-locking feature. During hardening, the nose side plates are injected with Carbon Nitride, which guarantees that Pro-Top is the hardest-wearing replaceable sprocket nose in the world. Its body is equally tough. Four most common saw chain pitches are 3/8LP, .325. 3/8, .404 Gauges vary by manufacturer .043, .050, .058. .063... Identification markings are usually stamped on the guide bar, drive sprockets & saw chain.

Firewood can be collected in Victoria from designated collection areas on public land from 1st March to 30th June 2019 (Autumn season) 1st September to 30th November 2019 (Spring season) Firewood cannot be collected outside these times to minimise risks to people, the environment and infrastructure during winter and periods of highest fire hazard.... There are serious penalties for failing to follow firewood collection rules. If there is a high fire danger risk, the firewood collection season may be shortened to reduce risk. Do not enter the forest on days of Code Red Fire Danger rating. Some firewood collection areas may close at short notice due to a planned burning activity. 08.01.2022 Forester Tungsten carbide-tipped saw chains are specifically developed for longer cutting edge life, resulting in less frequent sharpening. Carbide tip insert is precision laser welded to a conventional chain tooth. Tungsten carbide is an extremely hard brittle compound, approximately twice the density of steel. It can be sharpened with diamond or boron coated discs & coated files. Carbide chain cuts up to 120M2 of wood before sharpening is required, approximately 3-4 times more than a conventional chain.
