24.01.2022 The world’s first clean up flotilla event took place in the Whitsundays over the last few weeks, with over 20 cubic metres of debris collected, including abando...ned hulls, tow ropes and a large amount of plastic. Whitsunday Regional Council was proud to support this incredible effort by providing a skip bin for the debris collected and disposing of the waste. Ocean Crusaders worked closely with local boat operators including Whitsundays Rent a Yacht, Sunsail Whitsundays and Whitsunday Getaways, to bring together a fleet with over 40 volunteers eager to help out. Mike and Nancy have been part of the WRAY family for many years, making unmeasurable contributions to our team, always with a smile. Many past charterers will remember receiving their briefing from Mike before setting off on their sailing adventures. If you didn't get a briefing from Mike, you would likely have heard his reassu...ring voice over the radio or had him assist with dive checks. Nancy has been an important part of our office and cleaning team. Her cupcakes and homemade treats are going to be missed nearly as much as her!
