24.01.2022 I’m so incredibly excited to welcome Sarah Bartsch to The Whole Child team. Sarah is a fantastic paediatric OT who loves to play, loves helping kids with their emotions and challenges in life... she has just moved to our area all the way from Mount Isa so I hope our community makes her feel completely welcome! Welcome Sarah - we’re all very blessed to have you here!

And I'm about to enjoy a yummy hot chocolate with cacao and collagen (so you will notice the reduction in wrinkles I'm sure!) Anyone else love a bit of chocolate?

16.01.2022 Just to update you on our response to Covid-19 Pandemic at The Whole Child. We are remaining up to date and will follow advice of Qld Health and Australian Government. We have also intensified our hygiene protocols. Current Response: - We are implementing increased hygiene methods between each session including handwashing and/or natural (but strong and effective) hand sanitizer. We’ll stagger materials used for sessions, avoiding items that are more difficult to clean, ...and cleaning other items between sessions. - We ask that all clients who feel unwell cancel their therapy sessions (NDIS cancellation policies continue to apply). - These protocols may mean that your session ends 5 minutes earlier and the next session starts 5 minutes later to allow hygiene practices to be completed effectively. - Telehealth sessions (email support, phone calls, or video calls) can be booked in lieu of face to face sessions where preferred. We have previous experience with delivering telehealth services and will begin trialling more extensive use of telehealth. - Please let us know well in advance if your NDIS plan is coming up for review (let us know at least 3 months prior). That way we can be well prepared and if it suits your situation we can use telehealth sessions to complete assessments and focus on getting your report ready. We are preparing to be able to continue providing telehealth services if face to face services are not possible. And as this virus forces us all to slow down we're looking at it through hopeful and optimistic eyes. We see this time as an opportunity to grow to reconnect with simpler things in life to appreciate all the good things we have in our lives and the good times to come. We believe the enforced slowing down of life will allow us all to take a moment to breathe, be authentic, and appreciate the down-to-earth possibilities for helping us overcome any challenges we face and to be united as we do this. Thank you for your ongoing support in providing excellent therapy services during this time and we very much look forward to seeing you and your child. Crystel and the Team
