My baby Iva is six weeks old and already has seven pairs. A very beautiful reminder of how fragile life is, and how the gift of a stranger literally saves lives. 13.01.2022 Today was easily the best and most important Father's Day of my life. This man has shown me that fathers and husbands can be the most beautiful, supportive, gentle souls, a stark contrast to how I grew up. To see him strong and healthy after his liver transplant just blows me away. We know Ante's donor was a man, perhaps a father but we'll never know. We hope that if his family are grieving his loss this Father's Day, they are comforted by knowing their gift enabled Ante to b...e here for his first. This is the real impact of organ donation. A chance to raise awareness for organ donation, celebrate the lives of transplant recipients and give thanks for the beautiful souls of donors who have given and passed. Fittingly, today also marks six months since my husband received this donor liver. Today we reflect upon his generous donor and their family, and we give thanks for their decision to donate; it literally saved my husband's life.
