16.01.2022 Very interesting finding!

13.01.2022 In today's Courier Mail. 'Acupuncture can be as safe and acceptable a form of pain relief as drugs for some emergency department patients suffering back pain an...d ankle sprains, the results of a new trial revealed'. This trial led by Melbourne's RMIT provides a great point-of-standing for raising the understanding of the benefits of Acupuncture to the wider public. This is alongside other valuable studies such as the Acupuncture Evidence Project - produced by AACMA fellow members Dr Stephen Janz and Dr John McDonald. It seems the place and purpose of Chinese medicine (incorporating Acupuncture) as a registered health service cannot be ignored. 12.01.2022 Acupuncture is an amazing treatment for little ones, if they let you :-)

10.01.2022 A new exploratory study from Debra Betts and her Australian co-authors suggests that acupuncture can reduce the physical and emotional symptoms of threatened mi...scarriage. Forty women experiencing threatened miscarriage, received either acupuncture plus individualised self-care advice, or a control touch intervention plus medical self-care advice. Women receiving acupuncture demonstrated a significant difference in their symptom of primary concern (including bleeding, cramping and back pain) compared to the touch group. Women reported that they were dissatisfied with the watchful waiting advice received from their biomedical health practitioners. While the majority of women described both touch and acupuncture as feeling more proactive and beneficial in helping with stress and anxiety, those receiving acupuncture treatment also described benefits relating to changes in physical symptoms that were not discussed by women in the touch group.
