18.01.2022 Our story, part 2: We aim for perfection in the products we make, trying to be as natural as possible, designing and creating affordable wholesome, cruelty-free skin care products without harmful chemicals, just 4 u. We source our Sustainable Vegetable Oils, Butters and other ingredients, as well as additives from Australian Providers. We do NOT USE animal fats/oils. Some of our products contain Goats Milk, which is clearly stated in the list of ingredients of that product.... No harmful chemicals, formaldehyde, parabens nor sulfates are applied or used in the making of any of our products, they are cruelty-free and and most of them are Vegan Friendly. We use reusable, sustainable and recyclable packaging at any time possible. Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) and Potassium Hydroxide (Pot Ash) are indispensable in soap making, but when combined with vegetable oils, they cause a chemical reaction. This reaction breaks down the fats or oils into fatty acid chains, and the lye/pot ash is neutralised in the process. After uncountable hours of research and testing, we have decided to use a preservative in certain products, so you would be able to store that product in a convenient place of your choosing and not your refrigerator. This preservative is called Optiphen Plus. Optiphen Plus is a liquid, paraben-, sulfate- and formaldehyde-free preservative used in aqueous formulations, anhydrous formulations, and in emulsions. The multi-functional and vegetable derived ingredient, caprylyl glycol also acts as a humectant and wetting agent. This makes Optiphen Plus more than just a preservative. Optiphen Plus not only provides broad spectrum preservation against bacteria, yeast and mould, the presence of caprylyl glycol imparts an exceptional feel to the finished formulation. Our lotions are created with emulsifying wax, a stabilising agent found in vegetable fats. We do NOT use Beeswax.

12.01.2022 Hi. So many of you asked us for our story. Here is the short version part 1: 20 years ago, a beautiful boy was born, into a world with stereotypes, prejudice and people with habits of misunderstanding or not wanting to understand (because it is easier). When the boy reached 2 years of age, people (including his mother) noticed, that he was very different from other children his age. After intensive medical checks, the boy was found to have ADHD and ASD. The struggle begun. W...hat school to chose, what therapy to apply, medication or no medication, how to behave around and with him. It was not easy, Primary School was the worst, due to the fact that ASD was not properly known (at least not to the school the boy attended). High School was a bit easier and the boy started to find himself. Now, as a young adult, things are looking quite bright for him. Due to his autistic social behaviour, he has not been able to find a suitable job, but he is studying full time and designing skin care products with me. He has always been very good in research and creating/designing. Now, we are creating Wholesome Skin Care Products together. The boy is using his skills, has fun with it and, is hoping to grow, so he can earn a regular income and become a contributing member to our society. See more

Polysorbate 20 is a non-ionic, vegetable derived surfactant and is fantastic for dispersing and emulsifying oil in water. In many of our products we use Fragrance Oils. These are usually synthetic. Some Fragrance Oils are created by isolating one of the natural aromatic components from a complex scent such as that of an orange or rose. We only apply the recommended dosage or less. Essential Oils and Essences are 100% Natural. Other additives can include Tea, Coffee, Turmeric, Rosewater, Clays etc., depending on what kind of purpose we want to achieve. Our Liquid Bastille Soap Recipe is a Baby Mild formula and can be used even on extra sensitive skin. Bastille Soap is a "bastardized" version of Castile Soap. Castile Soap is made of Olive Oil only. Bastille Soap is primarily made with Olive Oil, which means that no matter what other oils are mixed with it, it will retain some amazing skin conditioning abilities. Bastille soap must have at least 75% olive oil, and the other oils can actually help offset the lack of cleansing of a pure Castile soap. When we created our Bastille Soap Recipe, we decided to use Coconut Oil, which is a very common oil used in soap making. Coconut Oil is excellent in the cleansing and lathering areas, meaning it is not the greatest choice for a skin conditioning oil. In fact, it can be a bit drying, but when mixed with Olive Oil, you will have a liquid soap that is not only cleansing but still highly conditioning.
