22.01.2022 Being awarded a Paul Harris Fellow is the highest token of recognition that can be given in Rotary. A few weeks ago, our club had the extraordinary honour of ...presenting FOUR for their service to Geraldton and the Rotary Club of Batavia Coast. (As a club we made 4 donations to the Rotary Foundation in their names, so they could each receive a Paul Harris Fellow!) The Bell’s and the Ireland’s have been working thanklessly (until now!) behind the scenes on one of our club’s biggest community projects ever: donating their time, resources and skills to refurbish Geraldton’s Yellow Submarine And it was only fitting that these Paul Harris Fellows be awarded their medals at sea... well at least on a boat THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO ROTARY AND THE COMMUNITY

Thankyou to those that attended to commemorate police officers that have sadly fallen in the line... of duty, and also to express appreciation to all officers that are still out there serving our communities. 10.01.2022 Bike stolen from this rack at Back Beach between 11-2 this afternoon, was locked. Teenager thought it was safely locked while he went for a surf. Much needed form of transport! Please let us know if you see it left anywhere. Thanks

06.01.2022 Deepdale Criterium This MONDAY, 26th April 2021, Spokes will host the Deepdale Criterium proudly sponsored by Geraldton Bikes. Registration at Dorsett Drive... Park, Deepdale at 8:00am. This is a new event added to the Spokes calendar this year. Registration and Race Hub will be at Dorsett Drive Park, Deepdale. It will be a criterium type event with multiple laps of a 1.1km circuit. There will be 4 events: an A, B, C and Family event. Each event will consist of riding around the 1.1km circuit for 20mins and then a final lap completed. The rider who crosses first on the final lap will be declared the winner. The Family event will be an abbreviated version and we encourage riders to bring spouses and/ or children to participate with them in this event We hope to see lots of old and new faces there on MONDAY! 05.01.2022 On Friday we said goodbye to two of our Work Place Learning Officers who are soon to be graduating from Year 12. We have had the pleasure of working with both t...hese young people at the Geraldton Police Station while they learnt the ropes, completed administration tasks, answered phones, carried out front counter duties and generally assisted Police Officers whenever they could. We thank you both for your friendly faces, making us smile and always being willing to lend a hand. All the very best for your future James and Paris
