12.01.2022 It’s a bit too hot for the little portable aircon in my studio to handle, so no sewing today. I thought I’d try out clay canes... they weren’t great first attempts. It was still fun though, so I’m not ready to give up on the technique just yet - and they were perfect for making this psychedelic slab.

11.01.2022 This was a nice snuggley knitted cotton throw rug until my kids got a hold of it. Some holes were just too big to repair, but there’s nothing wrong with the yarn so I’m gonna have a go at crocheting new one with it. Hopefully I finish it before the end of winter

04.01.2022 It was a student free day here on Friday so I took the kids to do one of their favourite things, op-shopping! We found lots of treasures including some beautiful fabrics perfect for my Made to Order designs.

I ordered this cotton lawn online and when it arrived it wasn’t quite the colour I was anticipating and I felt like it just would work for the the dress that I’d had it in mind for. Because it was still such a nice fabric I just had to come up a new design for it.... The denim look cotton straps are a lovely complimenting contemporary feature to a lightweight dress that’s reminiscent of a 1920’s tennis outfit. 02.01.2022 Finally finished! I was so close to being done ages ago but then I realised that’d I’d made a mistake with the lining somehow Which meant unpicking a lot of seams so it got tossed in the corner of shame for a while ‘cause I was so mad at it (and my self) I got a chance to use my new press machine to attach snap buttons, which is going to make my life so much easier (me and button holes are not close friends)
01.01.2022 Made to order will soon be available through my online store. Because of the nature of my sourcing I don’t often have enough fabric for a garment in every size. So I wind up guessing the sizes I should make. Well now I’m going to take the guesswork out and leave it up to you. I’m still figuring it all out and the best user friendly way for my customers to order. But I do know I’ll have a few of my designs and fabric selections to choose from and it’ll be first in first serve...d sort of deal. Stay tuned...
