25.01.2022 Hello Mt Gravatt locals! The shelves have been restocked with our tonics @kiahorganics. This is such a beautiful store, visit them for a range of organic fruit and veggies, pantry items, household products and more. And try the awesome coffee and food at their onsite cafe

25.01.2022 We spent a long time finding the perfect bottle when developing our Wild Earth gut tonics and we just love our final choice. We hope you do too. We happily accept bottles back at markets, but if you want to re use them yourselves, with a little work you can get a sparkly clean beautiful bottle to use at home. Soak the bottle in water, overnight is best but a few hours will work. The label will rub off with a little scrubbing. You will then be left with the adhesive backing. There are a few cleaners on the market that will remove this, eucalyptus oil works great too. A little scrubbing again and you are left with a beautiful bottle for your oils, potions or a cute posy vase Be sure to clean thoroughly before use

23.01.2022 We get it. We are all different. Some of us love to add a dash of apple cider vinegar gut tonic to a glass of water, some like it in a smoothie, others add a spoonful of honey - and some prefer to have it in food. Whichever way you get your daily dose, it’s all good. Our gut tonics do make a great addition to salad dressing - the natural acids and enzymes in apple cider vinegar help with absorption of nutrients and reduce the glycemic load of your food, the fresh ginger, ...turmeric, garlic, chillies and more help with digestion and boost metabolism. And our carefully selected adaptogenic herbs - Marshmallow Root, Dandelion Root, Fennel Seeds and Slippery Elm Bark - soothe the digestive tract and boost digestive enzymes. Sprinkle a teaspoon or two on your fresh veggies, add a dash of your favourite oil and you are good to go - Salad pictured is by the very talented Elaine from @bondstreeteats See more

22.01.2022 Beautiful turmeric - is it a cooking spice giving an awesome flavour and rich yellow colour to dishes, or is it a medicinal herb, revered for its healing properties? The answer is both! - While turmeric has been used for centuries in cooking, it is one of the most important herbs in Ayurvedic medicine, often used to treat digestive, skin, joint and respiratory complaints. -... The compounds in turmeric, most important being curcumin, have been shown to have potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. - It has been widely reported that the word turmeric may have originated from the words Terra Meritta - meaning sacred earth. - All good reasons to include turmeric in your daily diet See more

21.01.2022 Even though it’s still a little chilly in the mornings out there, spring is definitely on its way! A perfect time to spring clean our health and habits. And as researchers are discovering more and more how our gut health impacts every system in our body, the gut is the ideal place to start. Our gut microbiota, aka the microbes living in our large intestine are now considered by many researchers to be a new organ, one that rivals the liver in the number of chemical reactions... it participates in. An organ that weighs 1 to 2 kilograms! A collection of cells working together with us, the host - towards a state of health, or disease. Caring for our gut can be confusing with so much differing information out there, but a great start is aiming for a diet rich in fibre and whole foods including fermented foods, regular moderate exercise, getting out into nature, getting good sleepand managing stress as best as we can

A teaspoon of honey, a splash of extra lemon, or a dash of super greens powder . Although I actually got the green powder for our super spoilt dog, he’s pretty cool about sharing @ Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

11.01.2022 This global pandemic really has me noticing how I and others around me deal with stress. On a good day, I can deal with it using all the long term proven ways - through good, nourishing food and herbs, through exercise, meditation/breath work/mindfulness and gratitude. Other days have me reaching for the short term fixes, probably not great in the long term but boy do they work for a few minutes anyway! So I try to be gentle with myself, not judge this too harshly, take a breath and get back to what works over all. It’s all a balance.
