I am very much a science and maths driven person with a lot of creative energy and a love of travel. This photo was taken at one of my favourite places on earth - Petra, Jordan. . I did half an Electrical Engineering degree at UNSW before switching to Computer Science and ended up working at the Uni for 11 years with the most amazing bunch of people. . The change of degree meant I got to meet a wonderful future sister-in-law @magshera and my hence my amazing, intelligent and highly driven husband of nearly 20 years @voytek_s. . We have three beautiful children who make us proud and teach us new things every day and I chose to step away from full-time work to be at home with them while dabbling in cake decorating to keep my creative juices flowing. . Since starting my dTERRA journey and opening my Penshurst studio I have met so many like-minded people with similar values and have also nurtured close friendships along the way. . 13.01.2022 . Here, I am repurposing a bottle of Roman Chamomile essential oil to make a blend for sleep support. . The single drop of oil you can see being added to this blend is the incredibly viscous Vetiver essential oil. A little goes a long way.... . 01.01.2022 . Many commercial lip balms contain petrochemicals (e.g. petroleum jelly and mineral oils) which can actually be drying but also trap other pore-clogging ingredients into the skin. . I prefer to use ingredients that are naturally derived, moisturising and nourishing. This is honestly the only lip balm youll ever want to use after you make it just once!... . 4 Tbs Pantry Coconut Oil 2 Tbs Jojoba Oil 4 Tbs Beeswax Pellets 4 tsp Cocoa Butter 2 tsp Vitamin E Oil 15 drops dTERRA Ylang Ylang 15 drops dTERRA Grapefruit 15 drops dTERRA Clementine . Place all ingredients except Vitamin E and essential oils in a small saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring until just melted. Remove from heat. . Add Vitamin E and essential oils, mix until completely incorporated and transfer to 15ml glass or aluminium lip balm containers. You will need to move fairly quickly as it will set fast. . A saucepan with a small spout is useful for transferring the warm mixture or you can pour it into a stainless steel jug before pouring into containers. . This recipe will make 10-12 lip balms. . Other essential oil blends that work beautifully are: . Lavender + Wild Orange Peppermint + Lemon + Lime Spearmint + Grapefruit . A total of 45 drops of oils is a guide for floral and citrus oils.
