22.01.2022 As everybody knows, Australia is on fire. With the fires comes an overwhelming amount of injured wildlife. Starting this week wildlife Victoria is starting to transfer the injured wildlife to shelters and carers all over victoria. The Wild Ones Shelter will be taking on as many of these animals as we can, but we need your help, attached is a list of items we need donated in order to give these animals the best care possible. 14.01.2022 How are you accomodating bats in your wildlife gardens?? This big beauty is a fruit bat/flying fox (mega bat). More frequent visitors are the micro bats!

13.01.2022 Did you know tawny frogmouths were voted as Australia’s second favourite bird of 2019? Call us biased, but we think they should’ve come first!

13.01.2022 A huge thank you to Dean from Pakenham Pony Rescue Orginisation for the offer of a washing machine to help us at The Wild Ones Shelter. Our washing machine died and he have to wash so many towels each day and we have a huge build up. Dean also took myself and two of my trainee carers, Sam and Sheridan on a tour of his great property and told us of all the fantastic plans he has for the near future. Thank you so much, it's so important we all help each other out.

11.01.2022 It's going to be another hot day, they are predicting 43 for Koo Wee Rup. Please think of your pets, don't leave them outside and make sure they have plenty of... water. Don't forget all the other animals that live in your garden and trees. Please put plenty of water out for them. It's a good idea to go out every now and again to look for any wildlife in distress.
