As wildlife conservationists all at WILD PLATYPUS are deeply saddened by the fires, and we are doing whatever possible to assist interstate colleagues, however minimal. We are understandably receiving enquiries about the impacts of the fires upon our tours, so are providing the following information. Our tours (private and for cruise ships) have been totally unaffected by the bushfires or smoke, to date. Weve had one or 2 days of l...ight smoke from the interstate fires reach the NW Coast of Tasmania, and similarly from fires in southern Tasmania. Our guests are commenting on how green the area still is, and enjoying the cooler Tasmanian air.
