21.01.2022 This is a large shrub called Eupatorium sordidum (now Bartlettina sordida). There are other species and all thrive in shaded positions in the garden and have these massed mauve flowers. It's flowering at Wildwood Garden.

18.01.2022 Spring has flown by in a rush so we just wanted to let you know that we close our gates on spring 2020 on Monday November 2 - that's next Monday!! For our final four opening days (this Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday) we have 25 per cent the original price of all giftware and plants. There are still lots of beautiful plants in bloom in the garden and the birds are singing - they have loved the rain. Hope to see you this week! If not, the garden reopens for autumn on March 26, 2021.

18.01.2022 Massed clivias line the path under the Japanese maples. These are great plants for a shaded position in the garden. #clivia

15.01.2022 It has been a wonderful season for camellias - this is a reticulata called 'Red Crystal' - just a lovely cascade of red blooms. #camellias

Come to see the garden in summer, enjoy a picnic in the garden or coffee in the cafe and sneak in some Christmas gift shopping too - all plants and giftware is 25 per cent off the marked price.

01.01.2022 There are many varieties of ornamental pear (Pyrus) but 'Red Spires' is a great choice for a narrow planting. Tall, slender growth, white spring blooms and rich red autumn colour. It's flowering now at Wildwood Garden (and we're open today and tomorrow if you want to visit).
