23.01.2022 Just got a pic from St Mary of the Angels South Suffolk stud, who purchased stud sheep from us. They were just awarded Champion lamb of the Cobram show...Well done St Marys :)
23.01.2022 Small Local show held last Saturday. Tyrendarra (near Portland). Barry/ Suzanne & Suz daughter Tahlia went. Barrys niece visiting also helped for her 1st ever time holding sheep in judging circle :) too. Just a couple of pics Suz was able to get with the girls holding our sheep whilst being judged. Was a disappointment in the Interbreed ewe judging- it was thought we had the Ch ewe hands down!! but no- it was given to the Suffolk next to us! Oh well.... its the judges decision on the day....always :)
23.01.2022 The BEST small town show was held on Saturday - NOORAT, just 1/2 hour from Warrnambool. Barry & Suzanne went along with children - Tahlia, Josh (Suzannes children) and 2 of our son Davids boys Isaac & Damon, the children all keen to be involved in showing & helping PaPa & Suz show the sheep. We ended up winning Champion lamb of the show with the ram lamb that was on his mother at Melbourne Royal (G10). Willow Drive also took out the interbreed group of the show. It was a very warm day, but a good time was had by all

20.01.2022 After the last feed for our 3 pet lambs, all the South Suffolk ewes thought the pellots were the best thing on the planet & had all followed me back to the house (they were in eating our lawns" lol), but by the time I came in & got the camera most of them had turned away frown emoticon:( it would have been such a good pic.

Barry attended the Seymour Expo over this past weekend, the weather was a bit different to where we live near Warrnambool he said! Here are a couple of photos he took of the sheep he took with him.

08.01.2022 The top results from todays Heytesbury show (near Warrnambool, Vic) The Supreme sheep of the show was the ram from Willow Drive South Suffolk stud, The Hulk. He was also awarded interbreed Champion ram and was the interbreed Champion hind quartered sheep of the show. Reserve Champion of the show went to a ewe from Shaw River Southdowns

07.01.2022 Last weekend was the Local Tyrendarra Show. Willow Drive attended. Our ewe Winx was awarded Champion INTERBREED ewe of the show- she looks great - a very nice ewe - Winx :)

05.01.2022 Barrys niece, Sarah Parker is hoping to get into sheep photography. She helped us show at last weeks Tyrendarras local show. Here are a couple of pics she took on the day. I said to her not bad for the first effort Sarah :)
05.01.2022 Suzannes children were featured on the front page of the local Warrnambool Standard this last Tuesday. Pictured with two of the pet lambs from this year who they took to the local Camperdown show a weekend or so ago. They were shown uder the Pet Lamb banner & both got ribbons - the kids were very excited - one- for showing the lambs & getting ribbons & money ($5 each) and - two- for having their picture on the front page of the local paper :)
04.01.2022 Willow Drive took sheep to Bendigo and today (Mon 5th Aug) judging has prob ended for our South Suffolk Stud at Hamilton Sheepvention. Here is a pic taken of our multi Champion ewe Winx after arriving at Hamilton with her twin lambs on Sunday.

01.01.2022 Lambing is underway for 2020... a LOT of triplets happening!!
01.01.2022 Warrnambool show was held yesterday, 26th October. It was a Feature for South Suffolk breed of sheep. Four breeders were able to attend this feature. Waradgery Pastoral Co (Tim Johnson from Brit Brit, Vic) with 6 sheep. Sunny-View (Garnet Bailey, Seymour, Vic) with 20 sheep. Blink Bonie (Ian & Rae Christie from Byaduk, Vic) with 3 sheep. Willow drive (Barry Shalders -Grassmere) with 17 sheep. A lot of these sheep had never been shown before and it is commended by us that they were keen enough to get the South Suffolk breed out there for a feature show for the breed. A bit of fun was had by some handlers seeing the sheep had not really ever seen a halter before :) But everyone survived, sheep & handlers :) Willow Drive was awarded the Supreme sheep of the show - interbreed section with the ram The Hulk More pictures to come....
