25.01.2022 Introducing Annabelle Saunders. Annabelle is one of our Year 3/4 representatives for the 2020 Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition. Students were required to submit a prepared speech on one of the 2020 topics with a understanding of multiculturalism. Well done Annabelle



24.01.2022 Even some restrictions can’t stop our budding musicians from continuing their music lessons each week. A big thank you to Mr Garrett and Quirindi High School for their efforts in continuing this program for our students. With the warmer weather approaching it was the perfect opportunity for our students to assemble outside, today our pre-schoolers joined in from their verandah, showing great potential as they joined in with the shakers

23.01.2022 NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each year to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander peoples. Mrs McKenzie passed on her weaving skills at school today. Students worked together to make bracelets using the weaving method. Students have been learning about culture in class this week through stories, language, arts and craft.

23.01.2022 A massive thank you for the amazing skipping and incredible fundraising for the Jump Rope for Heart program in Term 3. Together we raised an incredible $4520. Wow This money will all go towards vital heart research and education programs. We’ve loved seeing so many smiling faces skipping in the playground and for sport. Our Jump Off Day was a huge success!

23.01.2022 Wow! Check out these amazing art works. Yrs 4/5/6 have been practising different mediums of art using collaging and painting to produce these amazing works of birds found in Australia. Very impressive!

23.01.2022 Reminder ~ our school swimming program for students in Years 2-6 commences tomorrow. Please ensure students pack swimmers, towel, sunscreen and shirt to wear to and from the pool. Please make sure students have returned permission notes allowing them to attend. We look forward to two weeks of swimming

You’ve proven you can conquer anything and have learnt mass resilience this year. Thank you and your families for your parting gift to the school the year that went pear shaped. The competition is aimed at encouraging students to explore multiculturalism in Australia as well as giving them the opportunity to practise their public speaking skills and improve their confidence. 12.01.2022 2021 Kindergarten ~ it’s been a super exciting morning at Willow Tree Public School as we welcomed our 2021 Kinder class for their first week of kinder transition. Look at all the beautiful happy faces. Thanks for joining us today. We can’t wait to see you again next week.

11.01.2022 JUMP ROPE FOR HEART ~ JUMP OFF DAY On Friday 25 September we will be celebrating the completion of our Jump Rope for Heart program with our Jump Off Day! Students can come out of uniform ~ please wear a touch of red!... The school will be providing the students with a BBQ lunch and icy pole. Please pack your child recess as normal. We will be posting videos and photos on our school Facebook page throughout the Jump Off day so you can check out the amazing skipping skills of our students. We can’t thank you enough for supporting the Jump Rope for Heart program. So far, the school has raised an awesome $2961 for the Heart Foundation. WOW!! Please remember that all cash sponsorship forms are due on Monday 21 September. If you have any questions please let Mrs Ramage know.

10.01.2022 It’s been a super busy morning here at WTPS. This morning students completed their ASCA presentations to adjudicator, Jillian, via the zoom platform. Although not the traditional way students present ASCA, it did not take away from the dedication each student shown in their presentation. Well done guys, we are super proud of you all.
