23.01.2022 THIS IS THE WAY WE WASH OUR HANDS Teaching children hand washing at an early age is a good way to encourage a lifelong habit. Make your child feel good about hand washing by tying it to fun activities such as snack time and cleaning up from arts and crafts. Have your child practice counting or sing a song while they wash their hands, to make sure they do not rush. Soap or sanitizer that foams, changes color or smells good can be exciting for kids as well. One of the best ways to encourage your child to clean their hands is by washing your own. Kids watch and learn from their parents, says Dr. Sebert. Make sure to model good hand hygiene to keep your family healthy.
23.01.2022 Children have different sleep, rest and relaxation needs. Children of the same age can have different sleep patterns, which Nominated Supervisors and educators take into consideration within the service. As per Standard 2.1 (element 2.1.2) of the National Quality Standard, each child’s comfort must be provided for and there must be appropriate opportunities to meet each child’s sleep, rest and relaxation needs.... How do you spend you time resting and relaxing at home?
22.01.2022 Yarning Circle Provides the opportunity for everyone to be heard, create a sense of equality and an environment in which everyone is involved in working to create the best outcome. Indigenous Day was over the weekend and therefore we decided to celebrate this culture by reading the book 'Land Of The Kangaroo People' together we talked about this and looked at the beautiful artwork.
20.01.2022 Each day, we provide an opportunity to acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Owners and ongoing custodians of the land through engaging as a group and saying our "Acknowledgement of Country". From the children's interest, we explored a Dreamtime Story called 'The Rainbow Snake' and we extened on this by making our own rainbow snake and telling our own stories on the felt board.
19.01.2022 Last week, we had magic in the air when Magic Mike came to show us his tricks and share his jokes. A great time had by all
19.01.2022 The Benefits of Painting for Children - It can help build your child’s self-esteem as they are free to explore without fear of mistakes, or bad results. - It can help your child to learn colours faster and in a more practical and fun way. - It can help your child with their mobility and coordination skills as they are constantly engaging their arm muscles to paint freely and to look out for minor details as they create their artwork. ... - It can help your child communicate their emotions, feelings, and thoughts easily, and help them to vent any bottled up emotions, such as anger. - It can even be a fun educational experience for your child, as they discover shapes, colours, and designs that are important for their age. - It allows them to exercise their creativity freely, which also helps to develop brain functions. - It also introduces sensory motions for your child, whether they use their fingers, a brush, leaves or any other medium to help create their piece. - This sensory experience is vital for toddlers as they grasp a better understanding of the world. 13.01.2022 SCIENCE EXPERIEMENTS We aim to offer our children a variety of experiences to help further their development. When planning these experiences, we factor in the child's interest and their learning ability to ensure the experience is age appropriately challenging and fun! For kids of all ages, the benefits of science experiements are enormous. Doing science projects helps develop a child's resourcefulness, particularly their skills at goal-setting, planning, and problem-solving. It also nurtures intellectual curiosity, helping children acquire new ways of asking questions and understanding the world.

09.01.2022 Heydeeho Gold Coast is our favorite! Ms Goldie all of the children here love what you do, a little bit of magic everytime! Music encourages children’s inclination to move, developing their fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Plus, if the rhythm is very entertaining, you may even notice your toddler starting to jump up and down, which helps with their muscle development, strength and balance.
09.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS! Thank you for your support!
09.01.2022 A few benefits of drawing for children: - It helps them to develop their fine motor skills, eg. grasping, holding, and eye-hand coordination, which then will allow them to be able to complete tasks such as writing, drawing, and buttoning. - It helps to develop their imagination and make them pay attention to details as they study their objects carefully. - It allows them to express themselves, especially when they can’t express their feeling through words, which can be very ...frustrating for them. - It helps them to learn how to make comparisons between different aspects like shapes, proportions, tones, textures, and sizes. 01.01.2022 Benefits of puzzles: 1. Language Skills Puzzles offer children an opportunity to develop many language skills. When a child asks for a certain piece they will often describe what they are looking for. For example, the round piece, the blue bumpy piece, etc. ... 2. Math Skills Puzzles teach children several basic math concepts as well. While working with a puzzle children learn to categorize and organize pieces while doing that they are able to classify and label the pieces as well. 3. Eye-Hand Coordination Wooden puzzles build eye-hand coordination. The ability to coordinate what the eye sees, the mind wants to do, and what the hands can accomplish takes a lot of practice. Puzzles offer an enjoyable way to practice this skill while encouraging independence. 4. Fine Motor Ability Puzzles offer a fun way to develop fine motor ability. Children need to develop strength in the muscles in their fingers so that they can grasp things and hold onto them. This will later give them the ability to hold a pencil. 5. Social Skills Wooden Puzzles offer opportunities to expand social skills as well. When children work cooperatively to complete a puzzle they engage in conversation. They develop a plan to solve the puzzle, they take turns and help each other solve problems as they arise. 6. Developing Persistence When a child works on a puzzle until completion the child is developing persistence. Once the puzzle is solved the child can feel a sense of accomplishment which boosts his independence and self esteem. 7. Adaptable and Abstract Thinking Children use adaptable thinking and deductive reasoning skills when they find different ways to put the pieces together. They gain the ability to think abstractly when they are able to see negative space, like the space where a puzzle piece may fit, and figure out what type of shape would be needed to fill that space. 8. Spur Imagination and Creativity Playing with mosaic puzzles encourages imagination and creativity. The colors and shapes of the mosaic pieces serve to stimulate brain cells and encourage prolonged interest when arranging the pieces in endless designs.
