21.01.2022 Big flock of yellow tailed black cockatoos hanging around since early morning. Nice to see some up close eating pine nuts on the local endemic callitris pine and drooping sheoak.

20.01.2022 The final day of 2020 olive harvest yesterday! Just back from the press with a great yield of delicious organic extra virgin olive oil. Thanks to all the team for a great job.

18.01.2022 Grapes harvested, Kalamata olives tubbed up, prune plums picked, cut and out to dry on racks, and shallots ready . Phew - a busy week!

18.01.2022 The vines are trimmed ready for pruning next week.

16.01.2022 Some beautiful rain in May on the farm, and now it's the last weeks of autumn and olive harvest has started. Perfect weather for picking big Kalamatas this week. And last werk we took the first pick of oil varieties to the olive press.

15.01.2022 Suns out, nice afternoon for a farm walk. The winter creek is flowing and a few autumn leaves still about.

11.01.2022 Roasted or raw?

11.01.2022 The almond blossom this year is spectacular throughout the district. Looking forward to a good crop in 2021 if the cockies and kangaroos don't eat too many!!

10.01.2022 Great article about the benefits of eating nuts. Almonds are high in protein, vitamin E & especially high in calcium & full of the 'good' fats. Eat 20-30 almonds a day and live longer!

08.01.2022 Happy Halloween Shades of orange on the farm today, watched by the neighbour's alpacas.

08.01.2022 See our recipe for Hot Spicy Almonds in "Faces & Food of the Fleurieu" published by Soul Publishing.

07.01.2022 It's always special to welcome back WWOOF'ers to Willunga Hills Organic. Recently Amelie and her husband Michael visited from Munich. Amelie was last here in 2010 at the same time as Di ana and Nicole. We drove along the beach and had a swim at Pt Willunga - lots of good memories and wonderful to see you again Amelie.

05.01.2022 Love these black cockatoos, love their cry, see them more and more frequently now.
