09.01.2022 Employment Opportunity: WorkSafe Victoria are currently recruiting a Technical Inspector to join the Earth Resources team. The team regulate mining, quarrying, and onshore gas exploration/extraction across the state. We are looking for someone with a keen interest in health and safety and an underpinning transferable skillset or industry experience. Working across the state gives the opportunity to interact with both open cut and underground mining operations and there is cur...rently a need for coverage across Eastern Victoria which has a diverse workload including Latrobe Valley mines (open cut brown coal, and rehabilitation), mineral sands, as well as the growing quarry sector. Living in the region is not mandatory as WorkSafe has office locations across the state however the role will require regular travel to the area. As a Technical Inspector the successful candidate can expect to complete approx. 3 months of inspector training followed by ongoing mentoring within the team and ongoing industry training. Remuneration is $105k + super + company car with private use + phone + laptop.
