Imagine the delight of a young girl when her new barbie pony gives birt...h to an unexpected foal by Wimpys Lil Starlight (IMP)! Leonter Dunit N Gold became a youth stead after failing to test positive (or so we were informed by the AI tech used at the time) after numerous attempts to breed her, so was sold on to young Maddison to learn to ride. Presto, one became two! Young Maddison now has her barbie pony complete with a foal. We love that mare & bub are loved so dearly by their new family. Your a very lucky girl Maddison! See more

05.01.2022 Whats the Go Non-Pro..This weeks edition is proudly brought to us by our Industry Partner Darling Downs Vets This week we are heading back to Queensland to c...atch up with a lady who is not afraid to put in the miles, and not just literally. She has a dedication and commitment that are second to none and she certainly doesnt do things by halves. Even if its been a tough day at the office..her radiant smile is never far away. Please welcome.. Lisa Tietz Q1 What club are you a member of? I am a member of the Calliope Sliders, Southern Cross Reining Horse Association, Reining Australia & NRHA. Q2 How many years have you been Reining? I started reining in 2011 after attending a reining clinic held by VRHA on my Western Pleasure Horse. I was getting bored with Western Pleasure and thought I'd go along for a look and loved it! I then hooked up with Todd McCormick who helped me find my first reining horse and navigate my way through getting started showing & I've been obsessed ever since. Q3 Proudest moment in Reining so far? That would have to be when I won my first Futurity buckle on my horse ME Lil Bentley. I had done most of the training myself under the guidance of my partner Ed Smith so it was a huge achievement for me. He is a really special horse. Q4 Best advice you have received? I have received lots of good advice over the years from some great trainers but I think the best would be from Kenny Eppers - "Live by the inside rein, die by the inside rein" Q5 If you could ride any reining horse in the world (past or present) Who would it be? So many great reining horses that would be pretty cool to ride but I would have to say that I'd love to show Wimpys Lil Starlight. I have had a ride on him and he is such a cool dude but I'd love to ride him into the show pen for a run. Q6 Most embarrassing moment at a horse show? I'm always doing something stupid! The mountain bike incident, the thumbs up photo opportunity, some that I just cant mention, but probably when sitting getting coffee with everyone I commented that I had a puffy knee and wondered what I'd done to it only to find it was yesterday's undies. The perils of recycling yesterdays jeans! Q7 If you rode a Freestyle, what song would you choose? I always have these great ideas for Freestyles but I don't think I'd ever do one. I like to make the costumes for Kristy then she can go and have fun with it. Q8 Is there anything we dont know about you? Any hidden talents/party tricks? No. Everyone knows I ghost at parties. One minute I'm there and next....gone. Q9 Any item in your tack room/tack box you just cant do without when youre riding/competing? I am really particular about my reins. They have to have just the right feel. Q10 Is there anything in the sport of Reining you would like to see changed? We probably need to have more Sliders parties!
