21.01.2022 Lubrication - the pesky little detail that could save you from all sorts of trouble! The one product that can really save you a lot of repair costs is a quality cork/slide grease. We are making November Grease Awareness Month. Keep your eye out for specific information on your instrument. We are also adding a FREE tub of La Tromba grease to every repair over $50.

19.01.2022 Now that we have a new website we are working on uploading all our available reconditioned instruments that we have for sale. Go and check it out and let us know if you like it! www.windcraftrepair.com.au

19.01.2022 Grease my.... Clarinet! Theres not much to grease on a clarinet but if your tenon corks are stiff and dry theyll tear easily AND you might bent keys by squeezing during assembly and disassembly.

19.01.2022 Jim and I just came back from the 3rd Band Instrument Repair conference in Australia. We love investing in our skills and knowledge and its a great opportunity to share ideas with other techs from Aus and the US. Thanks NAPBIRT!

19.01.2022 Grease your...Trumpet Stuck slides can be the cause of many problems... Moving your slides regularly and applying fresh grease quarterly can prevent this from happening. Look at https://windcraftrepair.com.au/instrument-care/brass/ for more details

16.01.2022 Cork grease is for Cork only. You can damage your neck by putting grease on the tenon. Youll also risk snapping off the neck screw because it has to be over tightened to stop the neck from swivelling. Corks last much longer when lubricated regularly! You can actually bent your neck if you have to force your mouthpiece over a dry cork.

16.01.2022 WindCraft Repair made a donation to Support Act today to help Australian music get through this pandemic. Please consider supporting them as well if you can!
