22.01.2022 Earlier this week I was asked to explain the concept of "community". I said: I went to the Community Club to watch the AFL Grand Final with my father and daughter. At half-time, everyone at the club went outside to play with a football on the oval. There were children and adults of all ages, men and women, people who were new to town and those who had lived in Dowerin their entire lives. Some played A-Grade for the local footy team while others had probably never kicked a ball in their lives. There were some that chose to play with the ball, while others cheered from the sidelines. But it was all inclusive. That is community. That is what I love about living in the Wheatbelt. What does the word "community" mean to you? #livinginthewheatbelt #community #windmillpromotions
