09.01.2022 This weekend, I’m asking every Western Australian to shop local. While a short sharp lockdown to keep WA virus free was the right option for the state, it does...n’t mean many local hospitality venues, retail stores and other local businesses weren’t affected when they had to shut or restrict their trading. While the State Government is providing assistance to businesses right across the state, there’s something we can all do too to help as well. This weekend, I’m asking West Aussies to support their local small businesses. Get takeaway, dine out, shop locally. Just make sure you follow the rules, and sign in when you head out using the SafeWA app. If you happen to have any extra spending money after the week we’ve had, make sure you spend it with your favourite small business. Our local businesses are a key part of the fabric of our communities. Give them your support this weekend.
