19.01.2022 IRIDOLOGY Iridology may be conducted during your first consultation. Iridology is a study of the iris of the eye in relation to health. A photograph will be taken and put on the computer for a detailed analysis. Iridology looks at the changes in the structure and colour of the iris that occurs through the nervous system. It is an indication of your genetic and acquired strengths and weaknesses, related to the structure of the body. Certain things that are not apparent in iridology are, operations, pregnancy, parasites or cancer. The examination will be explained to you at the time and your photos can be printed or emailed.

19.01.2022 We are giving away free hand sanitiser. That is: one free squirt to every customer entering the clinic. Acupuncture is normally conducted (by qualified and registered practitioners) using aseptic technique. Understandably our hospitals and training institutions bang on about it (no end) and train us like monkeys to make sure we get it. Even so, we are taking extra precautions to protect our patients at the moment and ask anyone who has signs of fever, flu-like symptoms such as; coughing, sore throat, fatigue and/or shortness of breath to not come to our clinic - rather go and get tested at one of the government test clinics. Phone or email us and we can post out any medicines you need. I do mail outs daily so there is no problem with posting goods to you whether its purely for convenience or you are self-isolating.

12.01.2022 Ear Candles are available directly or through mail order to the public and wholesale to practitioners, pharmacies and health food stores. Ear candles are a hollow tube of waxed fabric, one end is lit and the other end is placed in the ear. Air oscillates through the candle creating warmth and an evaporation effect inside the ear. It is used for sinus, glue ear and in some cases helps tinnitus. It is suitable for all age groups. 06.01.2022 I recently completed a Master Applied Science - Acupuncture at UNE. I started studying acupuncture 33 years ago at Acupuncture Colleges Australia and a General Hospital in Sri Lanka. I returned to study as my old qualifications needed upgrading and I am now AHPRA registered and a member of AACMA which means that some of my services will be entitled to health fund rebates. The theory underlying traditional Chinese medicine is that when people are healthy, an abundant supply of... qi or life energy flows through the bodys meridians, a network of invisible channels, If the flow of qi in the meridians is in short supply or becomes blocked, then the body fails to maintain harmony, balance and order, and disease or illness follows. Acupuncture is used to encourage the movement of qi, removing any stagnation in the body and opening the meridians so that qi can flow freely again. Acupuncture practice adopts a holistic approach to understanding disease processes, rather than just treating signs and symptoms. It focuses as much on the prevention of illness as on its treatment, This is why practitioners pay particular attention not only to patients presenting symptoms, but to other indicators of general health - such as the strength and speed of the pulse, the condition and appearance of the tongue and lifestyle practices. 05.01.2022 Just hanging out... Hi all, we are still legally open (Allied health practice) our usual hours are 9.30am - 5pm Mon, Tues, Thurs, Frid. We do mail outs daily so just ring if we can help with anything.... Some ways to help combat this pandemic naturally apart from the obvious social distancing and hygiene practices, are; 1. Enhance mucosal secretions to neutralise antigens. 2. Boost T helper cell regulation 3. Modulate gastrointestinal and systemic immunity and inflammation. 4. Support liver clearance of immune complexes HOW?... Improve the health of mucosa through prebiotics and probiotics this means using probiotics to influence and reset your immune system and the mucosal secretions will improve. Gut detox is important to remove toxins, boost immunity and digestive function. Boost your immunity, build healthy mucous membranes, observe infectious control rules such as safe distancing and hand washing. Be pro-active and healthy instead of worrying.
