25.01.2022 You'd hate to come back as a mullet in your next life...
23.01.2022 Not all fish are created equal, this is pretty interesting: https://www.filletfish.com.au/fish-filleting-tutorials
23.01.2022 This is fascinating. Except for the parts where he rinses under freshwater
21.01.2022 Good time of year to be luring Jewies...
19.01.2022 The brag mats from NSW DPI Fisheries are pretty handy. On the back it has estimated weight per length of fish promoting more catch and release. If you're fishing social comps, no need to dispatch the fish for 'weigh-ins'. Obviously some have eaten more pies then others https://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au//fishing-skil/catch-and-release
18.01.2022 Great catch by Craig and Adrian last month. This recent flush should get the system going again. Shaping up to be a ripper Spring.
15.01.2022 If you were procrastinating because you might get a better offer at the last minute, Stephen has kindly offered up a half day charter as a fundraiser for the club, so we'll be raffling off a trip with Flyboat fishing charters Sydney on the night.
13.01.2022 Should be good! Justin Duggan has done talks for the club before and they've always been really informative.
11.01.2022 UPDATE: Already changed. The DPI site is now pretty much 'No'. The entire section about 'if you choose to fish' has been removed. https://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/home/covid-19 ............ Seeing sooo many posts in various groups about whether local boat ramps are open and if we can still go fishing. Ramps are the responsibility of local councils and at the moment, the ones run by Hornsby are still open. As for whether you can still fish, the current info from DPI is below - but keep an eye the DPI site. Things are changing rapidly. Don't do anything silly. If you break down out there, someone has to help you and you're putting them at risk. Use common sense. Be safe. Tight lines.
06.01.2022 Our first talk since COVID hit and it's going to be awesome.
