25.01.2022 2011 Château Lespault-Martillac Merlot, Cab Sauvignon, Pessac-Léognan. Another outstanding drop from @airoldifinewines, we have a Bordeaux from Pessac- Léognan (left bank). Immediately when opened an intense bouquet scent of blackberries, aged prunes and blueberries with hints of cocoa and almond. This wine is full bodied in nature with good length, complexity and silky tannins. The fruit is ripe and intense with characteristics of the terroir coming through giving you hints of graphite and gravel. 22.01.2022 Fattoria Coroncino Gaiospino Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Superiore Classico DOC This Gaiospino comes from the Adriatic cost in the region of Marche, brought to you from our friends at @enotecasileno. Farmed with minimal intervention using solely wild yeast, minimal sulphites and zero additives. This is Fattoria Coroncinos Flagship and most awarded wine. Its made from a fully ripe harvest of Verdicchio grapes from the Spesia vineyard. 20 to 30% of Gaiospino is fermented in 500L (used) oak barrels and remains on lees in the barrels until bottling, approximately 16-18 months later. Susumanielo is an ancient grape grown almost exclusively in the Salice Salento IGT area. This wine showcases deep and full layers of blackcurrant, liquorice, sour cherry and rhubarb. The vineyard of Rocche dellAnnunziata is historically considered as one of the most important of all the Barolo area. The size of the vineyard is approximately 1.5 ha and is located at around 300m above sea level with a south-west wind exposure. The blue marl soil with some layers of sand gives an incredible elegance with notes of roses, tobacco, liquorice and chocolate. It is a @vinifywineco exclusive bottle and available on our website. The boutique bottle has been matured in Oak Barrels for 12 months and then for another 12 months in bottle.
