25.01.2022 Always love attending the new release of Elderton wines, and this year was no exception. We always find ourselves having a friendly debate on whether the Ashmead or the Command is better, usually splitting the room in two. The 2015 Command is a very generous wine and was the star standout for me. In saying that, I could see the 2016 Ashmead having great cellaring potential where it would really shine. Until next year ... PS can anyone recognise this famous cellar? Arguably one of the best Australian wine collections. #eldertonwines #eldertoncommand #eldertonashmead #barossawine #shiraz #cabernetsauvignon #winewithjosh

25.01.2022 Ohh my god... I am so excited to have these wines on range. These are some of the best wines coming out of Italy and they dont break the bank. The ever juicy and dark fruit powerhouse of the Castelforte Amarone is $59.99, same price as the Barbaresco riserva which demonstrates a more restrained and harmonious palate with beautiful white pepper, dark red fruits, medium acidity and fine tannins, begging for some red meat to match it. The Barbers DAsti Superiore and the Langh...e Nebbiolo, $29.99 and $32.99 respectively, are much more fruit orientated wines that can be enjoyed on their own or with food. Both pack a serious punch of dark fruit on the palate, but without the complexity. Also available in the Roberto Sarotto range is the Barolo, not pictured. #robertosarotto #nebbiolo #barbaresco #amarone #langhe #vino #wine #winewithjosh #chamberscellars #chamberscellarsmcmahonspoint @ Wine With Josh

25.01.2022 My happy place. Argentinian Malbecs are typically fruit forward, juicy in style with tannins that are soft and delicate. Finesse. #malbec #cheese #mendozaargentina #terrazas #winewithjosh #chamberscellars

20.01.2022 Exciting new product release! This is a collaboration between two winemakers, Glenn and Dan. Glenn is ex Knappstein Winemaker and Dan was (and I believe is still) involved with Shaw and Smith. This is a light, fresh and vibrant style of Grenache. Red cherry and strawberry with mineral and refreshing acidity. ... Grenache is such a fun and universal varietal that is suitable for many occasions. Only 50 dozen produced and i dont expect them to stick around for too long. Available at the Mcmahons point store #tonicwines #clarevalleywines #grenache #chamberscellars #winewithjosh

19.01.2022 We have some cool new Artisian wines in stock from Unico Zelo. Handcrafted wines requiring minimal intervention, these wines really let the grapes, sites and soils do the talking. #unicozelo #harvest #wine #adelaidehills #winewithjosh #chamberscellars @ Mcmahons Point

14.01.2022 Fun fact: did you know that white wine matches up better with most cheeses. Exception to the rule is bigger, punchier style cheeses. Most reds will overpower the cheese, whilst whites compliment the cheese. Matches made in heaven are most of the softer cheeses, like Brie, Camembert, goats, sheep, etc. Fortifieds and dessert wines fall into this beautiful pairing too. This Leeuwin Art Series Chardonnay was a match made in heaven for the dauphinois and chèvre! ... #leeuwinestate #artserieschardonnay #wine #cheese #winewithjosh #chamberscellars #wineandcheese #chardonnay #whitewine

14.01.2022 What a lineup for todays in store tasting! @soumahwines Wines from the Yarra Valley are on my short list of favourites. Head Wines are all great wines from the Barossa Valley. The Brackenwood fume blanc one of the more intriguing wines we have in store. It is a Sauvignon blanc made like a full bodied and Oaked Chardonnay, very interesting.. in a good way. #headwines #soumahwines #brackenwoodvineyard

13.01.2022 Not too much longer now until the 2017 Penfolds Collection release. Not allowed to say too much at present but there is some magnificent standouts. Release date is 19th October #penfoldsgrange #penfoldswines #penfolds #penfoldsbinrelease #penfoldsbins #winewithjosh

12.01.2022 Stocking up the boys cellars from @shorefinancial. The 2015 Leconfield Cabernet is nothing short of spectacular, and will only get better with age. Beautiful grippy tannin, plenty of oak (no wood, no good), notes of tobacco, chocolate, plums and raspberries. All these generous characters of the wine will only become more harmonious and developed over time. Drinks awesome now or can cellar for 20+ years.

11.01.2022 I tucked into my personal cellar the other day and indulged with some good and appreciative company. Cellaring wine might be tedious and a test of self restrain, but the results can be mind blowing. Not all Wines can age well though. Look for a wine with plenty of tannin, acidity and fruit that will all become harmonious over time. Price doesnt determine a Wines cellaring potential either. In this lineup, the 2008 elderton command (available) was drinking amazingly well, although the night has to go to the 2004 bin 389

10.01.2022 What a fantastic experience tasting some of Cesaris best. We were lucky enough to try their current vintage Amarone, along side the 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004. Really interesting to see how a big wine like an Amarone can evolve with some cellaring and how the wines varied so much amongst the different vintages. Highly recommend Amarone wines for people that love a big style Shiraz. #Repost @paper_phoenix_management with @get_repost Looks like Josh from @wine_with_josh app...roves of Gerardo Cesari Cesari 2001 Amarone, at the recent Cesari sommelier event held @machiavelliristorante Sydney . . 09.01.2022 Reaping the rewards of some patient cellaring. This wine from Ernest Schuetz, Rrp $30, proves you dont need to cellar the super premium. As long as the wine is balanced and has enough fruit, tannin and acidity to carry it through the cellaring process, you will enjoy the benefits of some secondary characteristics and beautiful integration. #ernestschuetzestatewines #wine #vino #shiraz #cellar #winewithjosh #chamberscellars

06.01.2022 How cool are these labels!? These 3 liquid beauties from France just got the tick of approval from the tasting panel and will be shipped from France soon. The red blend is super juicy and rich. I thought there was some new oak used but it was just a very big and powerful Syrah pushing its weight around on the palate. The Rose is very true to style for any French Provence style rose whilst the white is super fresh and crisp, great with fruits de mer as the label says. Actually, all the labels assist with food pairing. Rrp will be around $15 (currency at the time of importing will determine) offering exceptional value. 04.01.2022 Red wine and a fire Pooley Pinot Noir is one of my favourite Pinots. The balance of juicy red fruits with the freshness of the acidity and silky soft tannins makes this Tasmanian Pinot lip smacking good. 04.01.2022 At under $20, the 2015 Mike Press Shiraz offers exceptional value with intense dark fruits, richness yet with balance. Black pepper, dark plums, cassis, black currants, chocolate and vanilla all come through with power, matched with fine tannin. Great everyday wine that can drink now or will reward those that have the patience to cellar for a few years. Also available in this range is the Mike Press Cabernet and Pinot

01.01.2022 Thats not a bottle...THIS is a bottle! Ive been getting some enquiries for large format wines (magnums) and have been able to source quite a little collection. We have anything from 1.5L to the 6L, current vintages and back vintages. Magnums typically cellar better then the regular 750ml bottle due to the larger volume of wine and the reduced ratio of air:wine in the bottle. Not to mention these look great and are fantastic for special occasions. This 6L is actually intimidating to look at! #wine #magnums #jéroboam #elderton #eldertoncommand #cellar #winewithjosh #chamberscellars @ Wine With Josh

01.01.2022 One of the better lineups Ive had the pleasure to be a part of. Pierro vintage reserve Chardonnay ... what can I say, its what every top Margaret river Chardonnay delivers, and then some. Superb. Felton road bannockburn Pinot was great, possibly needs a bit of time to settle in the bottle before it really shows its true colours. A little youthful for my liking.... The real winner is the @torbreckbarossa 2005 Runrig! Oh, em, gee what a wine. Such power, intensity and richness but delivered with manners and elegance. Absolutely lip smacking good, so much so, we needed a second bottle. One of my all times. #pierrowines #torbreckwines #runrig #feltonroad #barossa #shiraz #pinotnoir #chardonnay #winewithjosh #chamberscellars #wine

01.01.2022 2010 Fox Creek Short Row Mclaren Vale Shiraz. When we tried the trophy and show winning 2010 vintage wine 8 or so years ago, we knew this was begging to be aged. What did we do? We wheeled a whole pallet of the stuff into the cellar and forgot about it. Only recently did I decide to pull a bottle out and see how this wine is traveling. Its perfect.. everything is harmonious, balanced, smooth but still has richness, intensity, complex and even developed some mild secondary ch...aracteristics from the cellaring. Needless to say, I wish we put more away as this pallet is not going to last long, especially with it being my new favourite . Cellared to perfection. . . . . #foxcreekwines #mclarenvale #shiraz #chamberscellars #winewithjosh #chamberscellarsmcmahonspoint See more
