25.01.2022 EVERYONE MEET BONNIE Bonnie celebrated her 1st Birthday and Christening on the weekend and in lieu of gifts, her beautiful parents requested a donation be made to WAC on behalf of Bonnie! This generosity and kindness has blown us away and it’s meant that WAC kids have received some much needed warmer clothing. Happy Birthday Bonnie and massive thank you to her parents

22.01.2022 Last night we all enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by some participants.

22.01.2022 Tonight we did some arts and craft, painting on canvases and boomerangs. Despite the mess the kids came up with some really great artwork .

19.01.2022 Now that the weather is warmer, we got out the BBQ and enjoyed a sausage sizzle. The kids all enjoyed working together and preparing a meal for their mates

16.01.2022 Are you studying and needing to complete volunteer hours in the Community Services industry!? We have previously had degree, diploma and certificate qualification students complete their hours at WAC and we enjoyed getting to know them and having them at the centre! One of the many positives about our service is we are open after hours, so it won’t interfere with 9-5 commitments. Get in contact with us if you’d like to know more

12.01.2022 Remember when the Legend Leo Mahoney sponsored two participants to join an indoor basketball team.. well we have awesome news! The boys made it to the semi finals and were runners up! 10.01.2022 This week we sadly said good bye to Jamie. Jamie has been a critical part of the operation of WAC over the past 2 years and he will be greatly missed by staff and participants. Jamie had instant rapport with us all that was effortless. We wish him lots of luck in his new role and he promises he will visit us soon!

09.01.2022 HEAPS happening at WAC tonight Footy out the front, basketball out the back and chicken burgers and ping pong in between! So good to see some familiar faces and new ones tonight.

09.01.2022 can you help!? As we are approaching Year 10 and 12 formal time, we may have kids who are in need of appropriate formal attire or a fresh haircut. If you have any appropriate formal attire for both male and female you’d like to donate or if you would like to shout a participant a haircut, please get in contact with us

08.01.2022 This week the participants and staff have enjoyed our new activities calendar that has been implemented! It included cooking activities, a mini basketball comp and a very special celebration! WAC has been operating for 2 years now! Such a huge achievement for the team and participants and we celebrated with pizza, cake and party food. This week has seen 105 participants over 3 nights and we’d love to hear from you if your interested in volunteering

08.01.2022 *Appreciation post* Huge thank you to Todd and Tracey Richards from Geoff Richards Panel Beating for your very kind donation of a PS4, Bluetooth speaker and some sporting goods, your generosity is overwhelming and I no the kids will be over the moon, the PS4 will be a hit. There is going to be some very happy kids. It’s generosity like this that keeps a smile on all our faces. Thank you so much

02.01.2022 We need your help!!! We have two participants who have shown great skill and interest in basketball An opportunity has arisen for two WAC participants to become part of an indoor basketball team playing one night a week. This will involve the boys being part of a team with positive role models and being accountable as a valued team member. We are asking for anyone who would like to sponsor these participants. Registration is $80 each and $10 a game until the end of term... 1. Even a small contribution would be greatly appreciated Please get in contact if you or your business would like to sponsor some awesome kids doing what they love!

02.01.2022 We LOVE the 3rd Thursday of the month! Brigitte from the Commonwealth Bank comes and hangs out and prepares dinner. Next time your at the bank, tell her that her friends at WAC say hi #welovevolunteers
