25.01.2022 An elderly woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot wa...s perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. 'I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.' The old woman smiled, 'Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?' 'That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.' For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.' Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. SO, to all of my cracked pot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path! 23.01.2022 Sabbath was a wonderful day together, here you can see some of the lego creations the kids created. As you look at the creative expressions of church here ponder these three questions. 1. How can we do church better? 2. How can we family well together? 3. What is one thing you are going to do better this week in your family.... You will note a few things in the photos. Xav created a food truck/cart so lunch can go anywhere. Tasman’s house has hand sanitiser out the front and is always in construction, a very good metaphor, we are always building the church. Adelaide and Asher have a ton of people in theirs, a chimney with a fire extinguisher + a radar and umbrella! What wonderful creations.

23.01.2022 Lock the date in your calendars!!! Wingham Seventh-day Adventist Church will be reopening on the 18th of July!!! The Church board has been working hard to make the necessary preparations to reopen church. Look out for the instructions for how church will operate from this date. We are planning for a very special program for our reopening. If you aren’t keen to meet in person we will have a space to continue meeting online ready to go! Keep your eyes peeled for all of these details.

03.01.2022 Sunday 2nd of May, members from Wingham church and a couple of ring-ins, met on the banks near the Paradise Marina for a day of outdoor activity and fun. Some relaxed, some ventured onto the water, and some even went in. Graham and Colleens dog Coco even had a go at captaining the the good ship 'unstable' for a circumnavigation around the lake pool!. It was an awesome day of friends, fun, and fish and chips!
