22.01.2022 WHAT A WOMAN FRIDAY Meet our What a Woman Friday, Cooper Leffanue. Cooper became a Wings member in 2018 and during this time she worked hard however she lacked the motivation and determination to keep going. So she took some time off & stopped going to the gym all together. ... It was the habits and the routine that she found herself in that made her return to Wings in 2019. She was eating too much of the wrong foods & she was not doing enough exercise. However we noticed that this time was different. Cooper was more determined to better her health & more motivated to attend gym every day. We noticed that her hard work doubled. This wasnt just quick weight loss for her. She was making it her lifestyle. She had done it all before and knew that it wasnt going to work unless she put 100% of herself into it. She started. She gave up. She stopped. And now shes back and better than ever. Since changing her perspective on health and fitness and by changing her eating habits, Cooper has lost an incredible 10kg. She attended gym daily & has continued with personal training during this pandemic because her fitness is just as important to her as her weight loss. We can proudly and honestly say that Coopers fitness has improved hugely and her progress is just as great as her weight loss. This is because she doesnt take the easy option when presented to her. Instead she challenges herself. She doesnt give up when shes tired or when it gets hard. Instead she shows up and gets it done knowing that the results will be worth it. What we admire most about Cooper is that even though she left the first time, she returned and got straight back into it like she never left in the first place. She picked up where she left off & has only improved since. She is a great example that it is possible to start a journey and lose your way. And that when you do find your way again with a greater perspective of why youre on it, to not let that go & to use it to your advantage. Cooper, we are so proud of you. We are so proud of your hard work & your attitude towards this new lifestyle. Keep up the great work

17.01.2022 WHAT A WOMAN FRIDAY Meet our What a Woman Friday, Khadija Moustafa. As one of the youngest members of Wings Fitness Studio, she is an inspiration to her peers & a clear example that fitness is for all ages. Since joining Wings she rarely misses a day. Shes focused on her goals and determined to reach them. The minute Khadija walks through the doors, she eliminates all distractions. She has one main focus; WORK HARD!! If the class hasnt started, shes doing weights. I...f the class has finished, shes doing cardio. For the one hour that she is at Wings, Khadija is working her absolute butt off. She finishes every workout the same way: red faced, sweaty & satisfied! All the hard work since joining Wings has paid off. Shes lost 7kg. Shes dropped 6.7cm from her waist & 11.3cm from her hips bringing the measurements around her mid section to the lowest theyve been What we admire about Khadija is not only the hard work she puts towards her own fitness but also the constant support & motivation that she provides her mother towards her health & fitness. Khadijas progress and achievements have motivated her mother to work harder. In every class they do together, we will catch Khadija motivating & pushing her mother to finish the workout no matter how hard it is. She supports her mum as hard as she works in the gym. And trust us when we say that she has become one of the hardest workers at Wings! We are so proud of Khadija. As a young lady working on her fitness it can be tough. There are many people out there who will say it should be easy for her because shes young. This is far from true and weve seen it first hand. Weve seen older ladies at Wings do things that Khadija couldnt do at the beginning. Weve seen her put her mind to it & keep working at it to the point where she is now doing the same things that the older ladies are doing. Shes proving that age is not a barrier. It is a limitation you put on your mind and once you break through that, you can do anything Keep up the great work
