08.01.2022 My favourite tree friend... the beautiful Pinus Radiata in my backyard. When I was five years old, my parents bought her as a potted Christmas tree, and then after that Christmas we planted her in our backyard. 35 years later she has grown to over 10 metres, grown at first tiny pinecones, then eventually huge ones, her branches have become home to families of magpies, and her roots have become a habitat for some beautiful parasol mushrooms. ... She provides the most beautiful shady canopy on sunny days, and made for a fantastic piece of play equipment when I was a kid.
