23.01.2022 Is it worth businesses installing batteries? Clients have been asking us recently if its worth installing battery energy storage. Particularly since Elon Musks... tweet about fixing South Australias electricity supply issues. Our Answer - Maybe, it depends on why you want to install them. If you want batteries as a back-up power supply to reduce reliance on the grid then it could be viable to install them now. If you are interested in the financial benefits of batteries its probably best to wait for further price reductions. They are expected to continue to come down in price and improve in performance over the next year or so. It will soon reach a point where the financial benefits will be commercially viable for businesses. Its not quite there yet for most businesses though. Businesses generally pay less for electricity than residential homes do, so its a different financial proposition to installing batteries on your home. If youre considering batteries for your business, now or in the future, the most important thing to do first is reduce your energy consumption and electrical demand as much as possible. As well as receiving the benefits of lower energy costs, this will enable a smaller investment in batteries to achieve your desired outcome. 21.01.2022 Hi, We would like to thank everyone who has helped us on this amazing journey. Our business started as a simple maintenance service and quickly grew. While we had some growing pains, overall it was great to have everyone along for the ride. After lots of time to deliberate, we have decided to change direction. In the new year Ill be working for a company called Energy Wise.. ( I know, I love the name as well) http://energywise.net.au/... We have to thank many people for getting us where we are today.. Blake, thanks for the hard work.
