22.01.2022 It’s time now for the whole of the Presbyterian Church to turn to our Lord and King in prayer. Plead with Him to end this fire storm that grips our nation. Like... the disciples in the boat in Matthew 8, we now plead with our Lord to save us, save this nation, from this storm that doesn’t threaten to sink the boat with water but rather burns and causes continued destruction and loss of life as fires rage. Our prayer, unlike the pleading of the disciples in the boat, is not lacking in faith as we know that He has all authority in heaven and on earth. So join with me in prayer: Lord Jesus, we turn to You in our hour of need. Please end these fires. Bring to an end this time of emergency. Protect those fighting fires. Protect and provide for those who have either lost loved ones or have lost all their mortal possessions or are threatened with the loss of them. Lord, may it be that out of this time Your church will rise up to help those in need and may Your Spirit go before us as we would share of the eternal hope found in You. This we pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. Colin Morrow Moderator, Presbyterian Church of Victoria.
21.01.2022 The Role of Lament in an Epidemic Lament is not something we hear a lot about in our modern world. We prefer to be full of faith & remain positive. However la...ment is a genuine cry of faith, not faithlessness . At the very core of lament it is recognising that you’re situation or the situation that society is currently experiencing is totally in the hands of a sovereign God. The man, woman or child of faith brings their complaint to the sovereign God. There are many Psalms of lament, one of my favourite is Ps 77. It gives us permission and freedom to express our worries and grief to God. Laments is not merely tolerated, it is affirmed. Ps 39 compels is to release our cry and anguish up to God. Unless our grief can find expression it grows until our heart breaks. In this season I have heard of so much loss. Loss of jobs, business, life, freedoms, dreams, etc. So many of our plans & desires for the year have gone out the window. Life has been turned up side down for so many. It’s ok to mourn and grieve these losses. The lament Psalms gives us great hope that as we cry & weep & question, we know that someone else has been just where we are & God hears our cry.

10.01.2022 Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas from PCNSW Women. Praise be to our God and Father for sending His son as a baby into this world as the most precious gift... we could ever receive. Pray for the Gospel message that will go out around the world today, not just in Churches but from heads of State, would be transforming the hearts and lives of those God has called. May seeds be sown, watered and tended to as faith grows and flourishes.
08.01.2022 Hi everyone! Men and women across the Presbyterian Church of Australia are invited to attend the Women's Ministry Committee of the PCA's online conference, 'Men and Women Working Together' (September 18, 2021). We have speakers Bron Lea (author of the new book Beyond Awkward Side Hugs) and Devi Abraham (journalist and host of the Where De We Go From Here podcast), as well as James Snare (Committee convener, minister at Gosford Presbyterian Church).... We also have a great discussion panel of people with ministry experience in the PCA to talk about what it looks like for men and women to work well together in our PCA contexts. (Dr John McClean, Rebekah Earnshaw, Robin Bain and Kylie Evans). We believe this conference will be helpful for men, women, ministers, elders, staff workers and really anyone in the PCA. So please come and join us for a half-day of thinking about what it looks like for brothers and sisters in Christ in the PCA to do ministry well together. You can register at https://www.trybooking.com/BRXBD Cost $15
