24.01.2022 This week for The Way We Live Now project, we are sharing a selection of photographs from Fiona Wolf-Symeonides’ series ‘Waterloo’. In 2015 the NSW Government ...announced plans to redevelop the suburb of Waterloo, areas with a dense concentration of public housing buildings. The plans include demolishing the existing housing (including the twin towers Matavai and Turanga, opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1977). I set out to document this pivotal moment by creating portraits depicting the diverse community’s residents in their ‘here and now’.
