21.01.2022 Session 0074 of the Subject One Warrant Officer- Army course recently concluded with the trainees and staff attending a top table dinner at the Kokoda Barracks Sergeant’s Mess. Special thanks to the Regimental Sergeant Major 1st Division, Warrant Officer Class One David Lehr who was the guest speaker on the night. 15.01.2022 Congratulations on another successful march out for Session 0313 subject one for Corporal Course at NQ Wing. This was the last course of the year with the trainees and staff doing an incredible job. Special mention to the following award recipients. Trainee of Merit CFN Blaszczyk 5 Avn REGT... Deliver Military Training PTE Maguire 1st INT Bn Operations Award PTE Warner 2 RAR NQ Wing will now take a well earned break for the Christmas period and prepare to do it all again next year. 14.01.2022 Another excellent march out for the junior leaders at NQ Wing for Session 0312. Well done to all trainees and instructors for their professionalism and hard work over the course. A special congratulations to the award winners: Trainee of Merit: PTE Mcormick from 1 Int Bn Chief Instructor award: PTE Clove from 2 RAR ... Deliver military training award: PTE Perkins from 1 RAR. With just one more course to go this year it is looking like another successful year for the Subject One for Corporal Course here in sunny Townsville.



14.01.2022 On 29 November 2019, SA Wing celebrated the final course for 2019, conducting a March Out Parade for session 0316. The Soldiers' were tried and tested in three areas of Command, Leadership, Management, Operations and Training over the eight week course. The following members were the award recipients for the course as they showed the most outstanding potential across the course and in the discipline that they excelled in:... Trainee of Merit - GNR Oblea, 8th/12th REGT RAA Commanding Officer/Chief Instructor Award - CFN H Deliver Military Training - TPR Normington, 1 ARMD Regt Best Operations - PTE Grant, 7 RAR Best Section - One Section, Directing Staff WO2 Philbey WO2 Philbey was awarded the best Section Award and was promoted to the rank of WO2 during the parade. Well done to all the future Junior Leaders for a successful completion of your first All Corps promotion course.

12.01.2022 Warrant Officer and Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, North Queensland Wing, recently had a visit from the Commander and Command Sergeant Major Forces Command. They addressed the trainees on training effect, what they take away from the course and responsibilities as a Junior Leader, growing the Army’s Section Commanders through influence, leadership and strength of character. Finally, congratulations to SGT Daniel Trew on the presentation of his Defence Long Service Medal.

09.01.2022 On the 17th of Feb, WONCO-A NQ Wing, congratulated and farewelled Mrs Wendy De Rooy from her extroardinary service to the Wing. Mrs De Rooy has served NQ Wing as the orderly room clerical assistant for 13 years and has always done an exceptional job. The Wing will be sad to see her leave but wish her all the best in retirement.



08.01.2022 The Subject One Sergeant - Army Course Session 0141 concluded with the trainees attending a Regimental Dinner and graduation ceremony at the Kokoda Barracks Sergeants Mess. Special thanks to SGT L Johnson, 6th battalion the Royal Australian Regiment, and WO1 D Allen OAM, Command Sergeant Major Forces Command who were the guest speakers on the evening. 06.01.2022 Today, several members of SQ Wing had their hard work and dedication to instruction recognised by receiving the MI Badge. SGT Anthony Clarke and SGT Renae Treloar were also promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer Class Two. Congratulations to all of you for your dedication to your role at WONCO-A, your career and the ADF.

06.01.2022 Session 0319 of S1CA today completed their Formative Assessment for DMT. Humid conditions greeted the trainees providing an extra challenge for the activity.

03.01.2022 Recently, the CO of WONCO-A visited the South Australia Wing to congratulate SGT Travis Hertweck on 15 years of service, awarding him his Long Service Medal. SGT Jarrod Philbey, SGT Travis Hertweck and SGT Elizabeth McSorley were awarded their Military Instructor Badges. Training would not be possible without the dedication provided by our Instructors. 01.01.2022 Mr John Gibson of the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam Association and CO WONCO-A present SGT Tom Saxby the WONCO-A Instructor of the Year award for 2019. On the same day, SGT Saxby was promoted to the WO2. Congratulations.
