22.01.2022 Yesterday I was delighted to visit Pinks Reserve in Kilsyth to launch the implementation of the masterplan and kick off works that will transform this fantastic... sporting precinct. This project will provide an upgrade for every sport that is played there - football, basketball, netball, softball, cricket, table tennis and badminton, delivering in full the commitment we made at the last election. Within the month, works will start on the first two projects - upgrades for table tennis and softball. Well done to all the leaders, volunteers and players of our local clubs for their input to the masterplan, can’t wait to see this fantastic project take shape! 21.01.2022 What a crazy year it’s been! And what an amazing, resilient bunch of kids they have all been with so many life changes to adapt to. Although we never got any kind of season, Winter or Spring, we did stop, start and try a few times and there were also many creative netball opportunities on offer. We cannot wait to get back into it for 2021, in fact, we are so keen, we have opened registrations early, now even! Please find the active registration link here:... https://netball.resultsvault.com/comm/pages//welcome.aspx but also note that (same as each year) our U/9s need to register through a different portal, which is not yet available through Mynetball. However, we are still taking registrations for all U/9s via email to [email protected] so please send through your registration interest to us here, and we will include your child. If you have any difficulty with the link due to players age, please email the club with your registration, or contact either Tracey 0404 063 175 or Lee 0417 351 271 for assistance. Further information will be sent via email to all, and updates will be posted here for trials and start dates (end January) for 2021 also. LYVNA have their calendar ready to go for 2021, available here: http://lyvna.vic.netball.com.au/default.aspx? with the first grading round scheduled for 13th March 2021. We are looking forward to a happy, healthy, netball filled season for 2021 and can’t wait to see you all on the courts, and welcome our brand new players too. In the meantime, here are some lovely kids having a lovely time. On behalf of our committee, we thank you for your support this year, and wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

21.01.2022 Good morning, We have received advice from council, that as per the Premiers announcement for Stage 4 restrictions that all Manningham Sporting & Recreation facilities are to be closed until further notice. All indoor and outdoor sporting facilities are now closed Talking to council this morning for clarification on whether these areas can still be used for daily exercise and the advice is that it cannot be used at all. This includes the use of the netball courts, ovals an...d cricket nets at our facilities. I know there are so many of us that are going here daily for our excercise and fresh air, so this is incredibly disappointing. Just letting you all know so you are aware of the new regulations. 08.01.2022 Hi Members, during this weird time for everyone, maybe you are rethinking finances, considering a home run business idea that needs a start up loan, a better insurance provider, or just looking to get a better bank deal, or more personalized service. If you are, please consider checking out one of our biggest community supporters of Wonga Park, Bendigo Bank in Warrandyte. This is not a shameless plug for the bank; we have some very exciting projects planned for the WPNC and ...the Sports Precinct here at Launders Ave that we cant wait to share with you all, and Bendigo Bank loves to support the clubs that support them too. Your local Warrandyte Bendigo Bank are wonderful community project supporters, headed up by a fantastic Board, some of whom you would be very familiar with, with a genuine interest in our community and a fabulous community return output. Since its inception they have reinvested millions of dollars in hundreds of projects across Wonga Park, Park Orchards, Warrandyte, and local communities. That is $3,550,000 in 17 years! Further in the comments, is more information from Bendigo Bank in Warrandyte. If you do chose to take up an opportunity with Bendigo Bank, be sure that it is at our local branch in Warrandyte that you contact, and don't forget to mention you are from Wonga Park Netball Club.
