23.01.2022 AGM starts in 14 minutes. Hope to see you there

23.01.2022 RIP Bob Allan A wonderful life member of our cricket club. His family have notified us that there will be no memorial yet until restrictions are over. However, this Wednesday the 19th of August, Bob will be leaving his residence in Gordon street as he makes his way to the crematorium at Springvale. The hearse will be parked from 10:45 am - 11 am for those who want to pay their respects and even put a flower on his coffin if they choose. The hearse will depart at 11 am down Gordon street. It would be great to see as many cricketers line Gordon street to say goodbye. Please wear your Club one day top if you can. Please share this with anyone else who might be interested. Please keep in mind social distancing on the day.

20.01.2022 This year our committee has generously decided to put money towards the coaching and development of our juniors. In the past our coaches have worked on a voluntary basis. There will be a one off payment of $500 for each junior coach at the end of the season. Wanted: An energetic, committed senior cricket player to coach our Under 14’s side. The appointed coach must have a Working With Children’s Check. I light that we can not hold our presentation night - the committee have decided to announce the award winners and we will have a season launch to present the trophies.I wish to thank Robbie for his time and effort as senior coach. 01.01.2022 Hi all - hope everyone is well. Just want to let everyone know whats happening this season. Firstly I would like to thank Rob Geyer for past 2 years as coach. He has done a fantastic job and now is the time to batten over to someone else. This season we exited to announce James Sheerin Captain / Coach with Ryan Thomas and Ryan Birkett as Assistant coaches. The LDCA are hoping for October 24 start but new restrictions now in force that may change. There is no chance of training as a club before mid September. But as James said "There is nothing stopping you from going for a run". We have no information about the junior competition as yet. STAY SAFE and we will keep you all informed as we get any updates. --Mark
