24.01.2022 not an actual website -however THE contact address. As the Facebook site is basically a photo dump to give people some idea of what I do (What I do for others is not in these photos -however if desired can be done -but don't have the equipment for board based products -would have to get them made for me at least as kit form. This is the sort of thing that I do day to day, but don't re guard it as my work. Can deal with solid timber orders -and to some degree veneer/ solid. How...ever if wanting solid board products -well can do but will have to wait till I can get a quote as others can cut and edge better with tier equipment than me. Can however be vigilant and put the kit of parts together and install. Not quite my thing -but do it most days of the week. So if you must ask for veneer or melamine expect a delay as need quotes and to work out times -can be done and all care will be provided. Prefer smaller solit timber jobs -also must be fitted in with work (that pays the bills on time) (have been known to finish jobs under pressure at 1 or 2 in the morning. (obviously would not recommend for best results .) However preference is for solid hardwood -but can work with anything that is available (Have been asked to match some Indian stuff -that was only imported as furniture -not as timber.-more than a bit hard.) Most normal stuff -no probs. Including strange design (as long as it obeys the laws of physics-can work with that, and likely to be interesting. (YES have had people that think magic can happen. Prefer to deal with reality. Bit easier that way. See more

19.01.2022 This table had new owners last year. Was called in to take 500mm off the end - move leg and fix up/stain the new end. Was 4m now 3.5 Could have done without the time under the verandah - but will settle down. Had design restrictions on the original build that were problematic. But I do tend to go for structural overkill - would have liked a decent central support. But should all be good.

16.01.2022 Photos up last. recent commission for a new born -for a lifetime box. Some unusual considerations. Edible finish (Tung oil and Carnubera wax ) Rounded corners for head buts Etc. easy done. lockable -again easy done -have the whole thing looking far older than it is (used up the last of my flat head brass screws -of that size) So if anyone knows where to get new brass flat head screws -please share. Also had the request that it be potentially able to be stood upon. Not a norma...l request -so went for solid top as opposed to frame and panel which would not have the strength required. This led to the ends being vertical grain to match the lid and the bottom to keep them in sinc with the lids movements (there is also a brass lock involved that has close tolerances) The lid ended up with screwed on stiffeners to keep it flat whilst still allowing some natural movement. Most of the brass fittings were available apart from what I believe is called a quadrant lid stay -this was a thing that was a curved bit of brass that would disappear into a hollow in the side of the box (with a brass cover-plate) Very neat very nice -however only found one company that even knew what I was on about -basically last seen about 1910 or so -LONG gone- so fuck the restoration people. But by the way i do believe that the Jacksons lock that I got for this box is basically what you would have got in 1850 or so. Dealing with small child was not keen on the scissor type box lid stay. As have scars from the stitches from a steel stand that used similar. tried brass chain. -not strong enough -potential choking hazard apart from anything else. Went with brass plated steel of larger section. -Not as bad a look as I feared. Certanly safer though. What else? Key plate -Bone -(bones of my enemy's -or maybe one of the dogs ones from a couple of years ago- Well one or the other.) Interesting project -well yes -worth the time? -not always the question. 12.01.2022 Moving soon so orders can be discussed, but will take a while to settle into new (better larger) workshop space.

10.01.2022 Blackwood box (previously mentioned apparently photos didn't upload) from a1920s dining table that was too far gone for restoration. 3rd photo is the gidden compartment access in the bottom. Wonderful things rare earth magnets.

09.01.2022 Hiding old nail holes can be done if required on recycled timber, there is a patch on here somewhere -even I'm not sure without looking at the back.

06.01.2022 Final version of the entertainment unit. Was to have 2 glass Towers and a double shelf over the TV. Took so long to get time to work on it that the TV got replaced with a larger one, so the ends of the top have reworked bottoms from the towers to fill the gaps. In case it's not clear photo 4 +5 shows the drawers - 4 each side, the handles are carved into the pattern. Materials - Recycled Redgum + hardwood frame.

06.01.2022 Sorry if this is a repeat -but nearly finished a long diatribe -that apparently disappeared.

05.01.2022 re-oiled a couple of outdoor tables from a year or 2 back today
