25.01.2022 Some hand carved cabinet pulls for this Macintosh sideboard. The original pulls were broken during transport and were unusable. I have a small amount of salvaged vintage Teak that is always perfect for matching on period pieces like this. Time for a cuppa in the sun @ Diamond Creek, Victoria, Australia

25.01.2022 Nice to be working from my home workshop especially on days like today. Garden is green and the streets are empty and quiet. Hope everyone is well in these strange times @ plenty river trail

25.01.2022 Essential ingredients

23.01.2022 Saying goodbye to this chap today. After a dinner party mishap this poor Moller had the backrest completely break off. After some reinforcement and some fresh polish it is ready to head back to the party

21.01.2022 Just finished. Vintage Swedish television to bathroom vanity conversion. This piece arrived to me fully intact with TV still installed. So with some gentle deconstruction the rebuild ensued. The object was to integrate the new components to look as original as possible. The sink and waste is still to be installed @ Greensborough, Victoria

21.01.2022 Lovely little early Australian dining chair. I have restored a few of the chairs with either an Emu or Kangaroo carved in the to rail but never a Lyrebird. This poor thing was coated in several layers of paint. To keep the patina that was hiding beneath we stripped and gently scrubbed away the layers of paint. Certainly delighted that the carving was basically perfectly preserved as well as the pressed timber crocodile skin seat pan. Definitely one of the more unique chairs I have worked on @ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

16.01.2022 Business as usual Firstly I hope everyone is well and being kind to one another. At this point I am still able to operate in this unfortunate landscape we find ourselves in. Both of my workshops are closed to the public with restricted access and as such can ensure that my workspace is sanitized and I can continue work as normally as possible. ... - I can offer a no contact pick up and delivery if you are in quarantine or can ensure that 1.5m social distancing is observed. either way appropriate PPE will be worn. - The materials I generally use during my restoration processes are naturally sanitizing. I will be sanitizing your piece just before delivery as an extra precaution. - All invoicing and payments can be done online via email which is my regular practice in any case. If you have any questions or are wanting a quote on some restoration pieces, please dont hesitate to get in contact. I wish you all the best in these difficult times and thank you all for your continued support!

15.01.2022 Little nest of tables with a romantic story. Unfortunately not mine to tell however. This little table came to me with a top that was water damaged. To keep the essence of the table we put a thin veneered board over the existing and edging to match. Happy customer and the story of this little table carries on.

14.01.2022 Its nice to be reminded that skilled craftspeople have toiled over the pieces I work on. Even if its just pencil marks plotting dowel positions. Its nice to be a part of keeping these pieces in service
