25.01.2022 Well! That was a big few days in our parish with storms and power interruptions and trees down everywhere. I know that many parishioners and community members are still struggling to get power and internet access, and many are also unable to access safe water. Please keep praying for each other, and keep trying to call - the phone lines will be up soon. The hall has power restored and is available until 3pm today if you want to cook a few meals for the coming days. Please r...each out if you need help or a chat - it was a very scary 24 hours and continues to be a challenge for many of us. 'they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he bought them out from their distress; he made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. The they were glad because they had quiet, and he bought them to their desired haven.' (Ps 107.28-31) See more

19.01.2022 All set for our weekly service 10am Wednesdays at St Mary's.

11.01.2022 Our mid-week service at St Mary's is happening tomorrow (Wed) at 10am. This is our first service inside St Mary's since March! Due to distancing we are restricted to 22 people. Masks and hand sanitising is mandatory for all who attend.

11.01.2022 This weekend we will gather over 3 services to ensure that we adhere to Covid restriction guidelines. If you wish to attend one of the face to face services you MUST PRE-BOOK as we have very limited spaces available. Saturday evening at 6pm - face to face Eucharist at St Mary's Sunday morning 9am - face to face Eucharist at St George's Sunday morning 11am - face to face and live streamed service at St Mary's.... Face masks will be required to be worn whilst inside the church and the QR code and hand sanitiser must also be used upon arrival. Please don't forget to book with Rev. Mel prior to the service - we don't want to turn anyone away at the door. Email [email protected] to reserve your space. If you are struggling after the storms this week and need a chat please get in touch. We are together in these times of trial.

09.01.2022 Some of the St Mary's crew solving the problems of the world this morning at the local cafe. Rev Mel set them ten Hail Mary's each just in case they need some extra prayer after all of their 'work'

09.01.2022 We pray this day for places experiencing conflict; we pray for victims of war and oppressive regimes; we pray for those who stand up for justice and fairness and a just sharing of resources. We remember those who have given their lives in the pursuit of this justice and we honour their memories.

08.01.2022 To all of our local young people beginning their exams this week, we are praying for you. This has been an extraordinary year and you have made us all very proud as you have struggled through the challenges you've faced. As important as your exams are, they cannot measure your resilience or compassion. These are the character traits we see in you and give thanks for. God bless you all class of 2020!

06.01.2022 The St Mary's Guild will be participating in this year's Twilight Shopping in Woodend next Friday evening. We'll be selling our street stall goods and we're very excited after not having our proper stall since March!

03.01.2022 The St Mary's Guild are looking forward to catching up with lots of their regular customers on Friday evening after a nine long months since the last street stall! Come down to grab a couple of special homemade gifts, or some delicious jams and preserves from 5pm til 7pm #twilightshoppinginwoodend

03.01.2022 Saturday Storytime is back! Join us via live stream at midday today to hear the story 'Little Bird's Day' by Sally Morgan and Johnny Warrkatja Malibirr. Some fun colouring pages are attached.

02.01.2022 Since the first lockdown a dedicated ecumenical team have rung the St George's bell everyday at midday to remind the people of Trentham that we were together in all of the challenges of 2020. The team decided that Advent Sunday was the right day to finish up this activity so they gathered, rang the bell one final time each, and prayed together. Thr bell ringing has been a wonderful witness for the last 8 months. (Thanks to Fay Magee for the photo)

01.01.2022 The good news coming out of Spring Street today is that we can revert back to the 1 person per 2square metre rule as of this weekend. That means we will have one face to face service at St George's at 9am Sunday, one face to face service at St Mary's at 11am Sunday and evening prayer via Facebook live at 6pm on Saturday. Masks must be worn in church at all times, QR code must be scanned upon entry, and distancing must be observed. It will be great to be back together again after this break...hopefully this is the final one! Blessings and love, Rev. Mel.
