24.01.2022 The children in the Woodlands Bambino program have been experimenting with different paint textures. Today we made a chalk like paint with just cornflour, water and coloured vegetable dye the colour came out vibrant and the children enjoyed making beautiful creations.

22.01.2022 The Woodlands children are given opportunities for responsibility to care for the vegetables and herbs in our our garden which are then used by our chef in our meals.

21.01.2022 The children in the Bambino program at Woodlands enjoyed creating their own pastings and colourful art. We were inspired to use bright colours to help us celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights.

10.01.2022 The children in the Balluk 3 Year Old Kindergarten Program at Woodlands have been learning about the Aboriginal flag including what the different parts of the flag mean. Today black, red and yellow paint were put out so the children could create pieces of art using these colours. Some of the children created a flag using their memory on what they had learnt previously. Others used the colours to inspire their own unique creations.... The children had small conversations about what they were they were doing and what colour paint they were using, we have been enjoying extending our knowledge about Australian history and cultural traditions.

03.01.2022 The children in the Woodlands Kindergarten program had a great time using critical thinking strategies to create towers using only plastic cups and teamwork. 02.01.2022 Today at Woodlands, the children in Bambino have been busy exploring the texture of our homemade, taste safe paint. The children enjoyed squishing it and smearing it everywhere!
